defenders are only fun to watch when they play against an attacker, and at pro competition. If you watch 2 defenders play against each other you're gonna hate table tennis for it. Also if the level of 2 players are low, club level for example, the game will be super boring as well.

I love watching good choppers. Tougher on the men's side. It's the 40 & 40+ balls that makes so much harder, along with top players. There are a lot more choppers on the women's side.

The 40mm balls made the defenders life difficult because it's not possible to give effect to the ball anymore, and it gave speed to the attackers. That's partly why I stopped playing.

Not for me. I was lucky in that the first chopper I ever played couldn't play against fast loop; and I had that on both wings. I used to practice in the basement against an 1/8 inch plywood backstop at the end. So the idea of backspin return was quite natural, and beating the first chopper was a great confidence-booster. Later I had trouble with the new weird rubbers, but that's another story.

choppers are sadistic cucks who like to see their opponents suffer in the worst ways possible. they suck the enjoyment out of this game and even if their opponent wins they feel dead inside cause theyd rather stub their toe a milion times than play vs a chopper

40+ mm ball is a disadvantage to chopper. Tried it and the feel not like 40mm ball. The LP will not gives that backspin effect to the opponent consistently. Opponent does have better chance to corner LP player. Unless the recent latest LP has better effect specialise on 40+ ball. Donic spike2 try it

He has an unusual career path! I believe he's an office worker at Sanyo or one of those companies, and only comes out to play when he feels like it, but when he does he regularly beats top ten players. I love some of his matches where he's getting thrashed all over the hall by some all-out attacker, and gradually you see an expression of horrible doubt come over the attacker's face: like, "Oh shit, whatever I do I'm not going to win this". Fantastic!
