Personally I think it’s admirable that he adopted a healthier lifestyle of a balanced diet and regular exercise. Admittedly doing it partly for revenge and not being bullied is a terribly sad reason but still he should be allowed to feel proud about the progress he has made at bettering himself. Though it’s sad that he felt like he had to change because of a bully but still at least he’s got a more positive self image of himself.

I never been rejected before, (cuz I never had the confidence to ask anyone out), but as someone who has been fat for as long as I can remember and recently started losing weight and looking and feeling so much better with a better diet and a personal trainer I identify so much with this guy in concern of self image and daily struggles to keep self control. Not only am I doing it for myself but also because I wanna stunt on all the boys that were mean to me in highschool when I attend the reunion in 2026. Baddie Mode is being installed and it shall not be stopped! 💃🏾💅🏾🤷🏾‍♀️💗💄

Still hoping season 2 coming, if Devil is a part timer getting another season after 8 years. I’m still clinging to the hope we get season 2 for this anime. 12/12/21 I’ll be back in One year to see if there is any progress if a new season.🙂

Can't really relate to this type of story, rich, has an eight year old obsession with a girl and wants her to fall in love with him so he could reject her in an awesome way. Still nice a nice start to this series

Closest things i can think of are Prompto from Final Fantasy 15 and Mob from Mob Psycho. Prompto's was exactly like that in the story's past but its irrelevant to the story, while Mob wants to get fit to impress the girl he likes. Mob's slow growth is actually shown, which is nice, but its still more of a subplot

I like this anime for one reason: *THE MC EARS HIS CHARMS!* He actually puts in the effort to get buff, eats healthy, works out, learns to speak to the ladies and find their soft spot. A message that *with hard work and dedication, you too can be a laides man.* This is what many anime misses, and instead goes with the usual "oh, the MC is nice" trope. Well, they can eat my shoes! This is how you make a protagonist!
