You’re right, but they also wouldn’t have been able to take down wiked. Theresa has been sort of like a spy the whole time, she knew Wilked’s secrets, their weaknesses, and she knew that wiked was still looking for them. I imagine she didn’t know wiked was evil, but she did know that something had to be done to stop the flare virus, and she still wanted to help the people who were vulnerable and in danger. And Teresa also bought Thomas Newt and Minho and galley time to escape in the last movie, stalled wiked, and she even saved Thomas in the end of the last movie. She may have done a shitty thing in betraying, but in the end, She was the ultimate hero.

Exactly why I hate her for taking WCKD's side

I really like the pan to Thomas' friends & their expressions as they hear that Thomas not only helped them escape the maze and then convinced them to leave the WCKD compound, but was actually sent into the maze as punishment for trying to save them before. Even without his memories, Thomas just wants to protect them.

It's interesting because we learn here that Thomas snitched on Wicked by revealing/leaking coordinates to the rebels. It follows the parallel that Teresa did the same thing, just towards the rebels.

Love how Thomas was the hero before becoming the hero, then forgot.

Did you know that on the BOOKS hes only in his like 20s?

In this clip Mary says “you said you couldn’t keep watching your friends die” this then clearly shows that Thomas was friends with all of the people in the maze before they were put in. There are scenes in the maze runner movies when Thomas is a child going on a train with others. This means they all were together for about their whole childhood. Thomas was working of WCKD because he was one of the smarter ones, same a teresa. And in the scorch trials teresa says to Thomas I remember when we were kids, I was taller then you and faster. That’s when WCKD was giving her, her memories back. Thomas has been friends with newt and Minho since forever, they just don’t know it.

it was confirmed this in the fever code book. thomas' last straw was newt jumping off the wall. and yeah they all were friends before. teresa thomas aris and another were the main 4 special bc they were immune and really smart. "Thomas turned off the feed. He couldn’t take it anymore. He already knew that someone had saved Newt, pulled him out of the maze back to the safety of the Glade. And he couldn’t bear to watch one more second of it. Newt, Newt, Newt, Thomas thought, feeling as if the very air around him were turning black."

It was an enzyme that only some young people produced which could stop the virus. Mary took it from Thomas's blood. Mary didn't know that Thomas was the cure since, she explained to Thomas about how the doses needs to be increased.

the George theory is that he was taken from Brenda and put into the maze where Thomas was. the grave in the forest that Thomas saw in the first movie had the name “George” on it, and since most of these people aren’t given a lastname, it is most likely brendas brother. As for how Mary knows Thomas, she said in this scene that “the last time we spoke, you gave me the coordinates to the wicked facility” or something along those lines. the reason Thomas seems confused is because his memory was wiped before he got sent up into the maze, just like every other glader.

Mary and Tom also worked with each other, until she switched up and joined the resistance. The coordinates being given was to launch an attack, freeing immune. In the scotch trials where janson and ava are talking in the beginning, you can hear her note that 2mof their installations were destroyed. That's probably hinting one of them being from Thomas and his bold risks.

guys. here is my theory of why Teresa betrayed Thomas: She didn't want to, but she had to. Why? To get revenge for her mother. And for those of you who don't know what I am talking about, Teresa's mom's eyes were taken out. I know Teresa did shitty things, like giving WICKED their location. She knew it was her one-way ticket into infiltrating them. And when she was at the facility, she just acted normal, making sure her cover wasn't blown.Teresa didn't tell Thomas because well... maybe she didn't have the guts to tell him. So she came up with a lie saying that she thinks there is a cure. Thereby tricking WICKED and her friends (kinda?). She didn't tell anyone about her big plan. And how come I think this is the reason? Well, I don't know if you guys saw it, but Teresa picked up a photo of a little girl. So that girl must've lost her mom, just like Teresa did. I know what Teresa did was wrong, but she just wanted revenge. I don't think she meant to betray Thomas, but she did what she had to do to get revenge for her mom. And before you say anything like "Ugh I hate Teresa." "I'm glad that she died in the end", etc. Well guess what? SHE IS A HUMAN BEING TOO GUYS. SHE ALSO HAS FEELINGS. Even though I no longer ship Thomas and Teresa, but in the end, I could tell that Teresa loved Thomas. Say whatever you want, but Teresa deserved better.
