Malinda's rendition of "Feed the Birds" actually gave me chills. That's my favorite Mary Poppins song; I'd love to hear her do the full song.

I hear Mary's comment in Jolly Holiday, or the slow bit of Chim-chim-cheree, and I always think 'Mary Poppins doesn't need a sequel, she needs a prequel. What the hell happened with Bert way back in the before times?'

GuatemalanJedi They might be eluding to the creation of the story. In Saving Mr. Banks, they go into more of the reason why P.L. Travers wrote Mary Poppins. I would write more, but I hate spoilers and this is only my theory.

My impression was that Bert's family was helped by Mary when he was a child. That's how he sensed her imminent appearance and also anticipated a happy reunion.

OK, here's theory #2: Bert is similar to Mary and running a similar mission with the sweeps - helping them in some way. Notice how he can match her, move by move.

I love this straight version of these songs. I think if Disney ever wanted to make a remake of this movie, here's the two doors they need to be knocking on. And Malinda's GTS version has some of the best translated one-liners ever. Great work, both of you! And hats off to the videographer as well - very nice job!

Omgggg I actually can not get over Malinda’s voice in this. There’s so many lil nuances of the video that make me so happy: 1: how she says ‘a lark, a spree’. 2: the whole of feed the birds, especially ‘tuppence’. 3: how she says ‘precocious’ ah it’s so cute. I love this woman sing!
