oh my God, that was priceless!!!!! I work as a stage hand, and when we had Beauty And The Beast at our theatre, we had to stop the show for a minute because a special effect did`nt work and we had to bring down the curtain, and have it fixed. it was the scene where the Beast transforms into the Prince, and the spinning machine he was strapped to did`nt want to rotate. Very embarrassing.

This was hilarious! :)) I like how Ashley Brown handled this little mishap professionally though. The same thing happened in one of my school productions when we did "Grease" just recently. One of the small glass bowls fell off of the table before the dance scene and broke, but fortunately all of us handled it professionally (although I admit, I broke the fourth wall for a split-second when my music teacher, who was playing at the pit band asked me to grab a broom to fix it up soon). So far, everything went well after that.

It always puts a smile on my face when Ashley says the door won't open, in the London accent. She is a amazing actress because she played belle, then she goes on to play mary poppins. So talented!

I got to meet Ashley Brown in a Broadway intensive, and she ended up talking about this. HYSTERICAL. According to her, bloopers weren't uncommon, but she just keeps going. She's just awesome.

Hilarious! I can't tell if Mark Price is laughing, but you can certainly see that the little girl is laughing!

When i was in Drama you have things like this happen. Could be the wrong paint on the door could make it stick or some stage hand bumps the lock ...... You never know. She played it off very well. Great job !!!

I agree about Ashley's accent. Sometimes she does slip up, like at the Macy's Parade when she said "because those Latin scholars never had a word like this" Never got screwed up at that performance.

Thats because it reflects alot of the book too

Whoever is playing Mary Poppins in this video, she rolled with the technical blunder very smoothly!

This isn't as bad as today. Ashley got stuck on her final flight on stage and they had to stop the whole show and get her down and skip to the bows. She said something like 'Um, hello everyone...i'm just hanging out'

This was on the Chicago tour. The music was going when she is supposed to fly and she didn't move and she was stuck on stage....just hanging there until a stagehand came and they lowered her down. She couldn't go all the way up the zip line...whatever its called.

One improv i saw was in Peter and the Starcatcher, and it was at end, and if you seen this show, black stacshe got his hand cut off, and he like lets give peter a hand of applause, of course his hand was suppose to fall off, but here the thing that happen then it falling off, it fell off right into the audience, so smee had to break the fourth wall go right into the audience and grab it, and black stashe was wondering what was place, like if he put his hand in audience he will act if it was gone

Yes she did handle it very well although i love the film Mary Poppins i feel it was a bad choice to change it so much in the play.
