Mary Morgan on Women’s Suffrage & Online Dating

Комедия

Mary Morgan joins the show and talks about online dating and why the internet is ruining Gen Z. She then shares her issues with women voting and how it has affected the country’s history.
Next, Chris reports the news giving updates on Lizzo not quitting music and JK Rowling not being arrested for her controversial tweet. Adam also adds to the Spanish Soccer President kissing scandal and the group talks about country star Morgan Wallen being arrested for throwing a chair off a 6-story building.

Adam keeps getting half way through his point before she changes the subject. It's not interruption per se, but interjections don't carry as much weight when they're not well thought out, like a steak that's a little undercooked. You got to let it sizzle for a few minutes before you serve it up. This is the real legacy of instant gratification, on-demand technology. A permanent mindset of believing you can have deep quality thoughts without having to really think. What we're doing these days is recalling, we're not actually thinking as much anymore. And unless people are willing to get off their devices, I don't see that changing either. A great book on this subject is 'Deep Work' by Cal Newport. He discusses how going deep into your work, without distractions, produces a different state of mind. It helps you to operate more effectively and dramatically improves the quality of your output. I would recommend it, it's well worth a read.

She has a lot to say. Also, she's the guest, so I don't mind as much. I don't watch her show, because I don't care THAT much about pop culture, in general. So I don't know if she talks over her guests. Or if they have guests. If she does it to her guests, that's not good. But you invite a guest on your talk show to talk.
