I think it always enhances the look of a garden to have some wooden fixtures, so I think those cages are great.

@flyguy1725 Thanks, and I hadn't realized (before shooting this) that they had been around for a full 10 seasons, so that was a nice realization.

I grow my tomatoes in smart pots and I think these would work well with those too.

Awesome! I bet those puppies will last 15-20 years, and it'd take a tornado to knock them over ; D *thumbs up* Plus ya have nice little ladders if ya have to get something just outta reach. : )

@ArizonaAdventures I had heard that, but I can't imagine there is even enough chemical in those tiny boards to do any damage even if it ALL leached out. They certainly haven't had any effect in 10 years on the tomato plants~

Nice little trick but will they hold up in a bad t-storm? I have had metal cages blown from the garden down the block with tomato plant with it. :-)

@dalecalder2003 I would think so, even if a smaller version was required.

I haven't tried them taller, and often the plants do spill over, but not so much to be a problem. Those in the video are still in use but starting to fall apart. I plan to try an alternate design using PVC. If/When I do, I'll include in a video.
