@@jacklarue7049 how exactly was he robbed? You need to watch thag fight again. Hagler established himself in the first round. And pummelled Hearns in the second. He hit him with naybe 30 ferocious head shots, and Hearns was already finished. The 3rd round was a formality. Hearns had only one way out. He was knocked out cold.

@@stevefowler3398In fairness Hearns broke his right hand early on in the first round, u can see when he starts pulling his right so he never really got a good crack at it, even the commentators noticed that Hearns hurt Hagler with a right early on and that Hagler was walking thru his rights after that. Hearns wasn't robbed but Hagler definitely wasn't facing Hearns best after he broke his hand.

As one Sports Illustrated Issue stated back in '82...."The Best and the Baddest". I loved his blue collar attitude when it came to clocking in for training and also his spartan regimen that he put himself through for every fight. As he said, he locked himself up in jail to prepare for his bouts. He prepared for every fight as if he literally was going to war. Especially the Super Fights! I suggest boxing fans buy his Career DVD Set to appreciate this man's contribution to Boxing as one of the greatest Middleweight Champions of all time.

I understand and respect haglers way of gearing up for a fight. You come into this world on your own ans you leave on your own. Isolation is the best way to get to know yourself. It also a way of reassuring yourself that you are made for war. Most people cant be alone for 1 minute without feeling the need for some form of gratification or approval. Being alone really really toughens you up and moulds you into a beast.

He said something like: Hard to be hungry when you're sleeping on silk sheets. Always trained hard and was ready to go full steam the whole distance. A jovial guy and liked to hang out with fans. A guy in my high school met him once. Gone too soon.
