Tony Sibson, in his interview right after the fight, said he didn't feel too disappointed because he recognised even then that he had been beaten by 'a master in the ring.' He was right, but it was great to see an honest and talented fighter acknowledge an all-time great - as it was great to see MMH pay tribute to Sibson in his interview shown here. Boxing has lost a monumental pugilist and imo in his prime the ‘Baddest man on the Planet’ No matter what Tyson fanboys say. This man epitomised everything the word ‘dedication’ to a sport means. He was and still is the fighter that inspired me to be the best version of me in any sport I tried. He’s the reason I Started Boxing as a callow youth and to this day admire the commitment it takes to succeed. He walked away owing the sport nothing and never unlike many others came back for a payday knowing he’d be cheating the public. A Mans Man and my boxing idol Marvelous Marvin Hagler!!! R.I.P 🙏

Hagler likes to move to his left when being defensive or exiting pocket. His main attacks come from angles in which he moving to his right. Poetry in motion as far as boxing technique although mostly known for his aggressive fighting style. So many wrinkles to his game. When u finally start to figure him out he switches to orthodox and starts bombing power left hooks from the outside. Or he will switch on the inside to sneak in a power shot seamlessly when his feet close together. Pure genius, super fun to watch. Never appreciated his abilities enough when I was younger but nowadays it’s incredible how talented and smart he was. In his prime was by far the best KinG.

Back when even the national type fighters ( step below world class, great in terms of their country) had great boxing skills. Look at how sibson at times forces Hagler to change his approach and counters his jab . Boxing isn’t what it used to be , but hey I must enjoy .

Beautiful man and fighter. Hagler was cheated by the Boxing establishment in delaying the arrival of his greatness , rewarding his rival Leonard with a dubious decision but Hagler was rewarded by the Boxing Gods with superhuman power, resilience and skill in the ring and he had such humbleness and humility outside the ring he was so respected. The Leonard decision may be in doubt but his legacy will never be in doubt. My hero, my inspiration in so many ways .RIP the greatest boxer ever not just GOAT of middleweight. I will miss you.

The one thing I learned from Marvin Hagler, is that life is a fight from the time you are born. Give everything in life your all, and never quit. Love your family as much as you can, work at your dreams as hard as you can. Don't back up always forward, pray as hard as you can. We have lost a great human being, but I am sure GOD has his arm around him now.
