Marvin was what we call today an "Empath". He absorbed not only his own personal pain but the pain of the world. He had the practical tool - his piano - but the genius came from the sensuality he naturally possessed, combined with the pleasures and pain he experienced so intensely and his ability to translate it into million dollar songs that he expressed so brilliantly with THAT VOICE. His appearance on Motown 25 (in the white suit) in 1984 is the quintessential Marvin and his performance an absolute Masterpiece of Musical genius.💔

I wonder what the music industry would be like today if he was still with us. I know people would be chomping at the bit to collaborate with him today. Rip Marvin Pence Gaye

Marvin was well ahead of his time , a beautiful soul in spite of having such a screwed up parent to deal with . So sad that his life had to end the way it did . He deserved so much better . R.I.P Marvin , feel so privileged to have met you in person .

No one can say BABY like him and SUGAR too it would melt any woman and he was sexy but he never was over the top because he was shy if you can believe it . His speaking voice so soft who knew his vocal range and writer piano drums is there anything he couldn’t do ?? At least we have his music and he knew things that are going on right now. I can imagine what he would say we will never know because his father murdered his son and got off easy he lived 14 more years and got away with it . Shameful because of jealously.
