OMG! This is digging in a rock quarry! How on earth does such a young person accumulate so much tartar? Your hygienist did a fabulous job of following your scaler as you detailed the teeth. Very good team work, Doc!!

This man has a very complicated set if problems. Small jaw which led to missaligned teeth, with gum problems, excess tartar. All of these can be from genetics it lack of early care. Either way he may not be wholly responsible for his plight.

@@wendymorrison5803 Excess tartar and gum problems are not the result of genetics. That's like saying long hair is the result of genetics. YES --- some people can grow their hair longer as a result of genetics --- but _everyone_ can simply CUT his hair in order to prevent it from getting longer. This is 100% behavioral.

@@bricaaron3978 This dentist is in Indonesia and I'm told he sometimes treats patients who are homeless as an act of charity. So I'm not really going to judge their lifestyle.

I'm surprised at the lack of visible cavities and or tooth decay.

I'm just not sure how people can let things go so far. My teeth aren't great don't get me wrong. But if this was offered as a public service maybe people would literally survive longer. This is just bad. I hope this guy feels better and starts to care about his teeth being clean.

Tartar is mineralised bacterial film and trapped food particles. Just as icky as it sounds. And despite care, can smell nasty. Sometimes, as a dental nurse, knowing which patient was due, I would put a drop of eucalyptus on my collar to mask the odours. Better for the patient and staff.

Amazing what comes with a kiss😮

So easy to say buy a toothbrush. How fortunate we are that some can get free dental care or thru job insurance. Many can't afford either. I'm glad someone cared enough to help those in need.

A dentist will tell you that there are people with teeth like this everywhere. Rich and poor. Dental fear, diet, genetics, smoking. All can get you to this place too. Brushing helps but does not fix everything that can go wrong.

I love watching these videos. But 2 things I don't get... 1. How are they not taught dental hygiene? 2. Why do they INSIST on trying to put their tongue tight in the way, even when held back??!!🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ it's a if they're adamant on getting in the way. They even force tools out of the way. Great team work guys!! I know that was a hard quarry to break down!!

not really its kind of like a deep cleaning, the spots will be sore after bc the skin hasnt been exposed but its actually relieving to get all the pressure off of your jaw/teeth (not speaking from personal experience but my sister had this done)

Seems like your tech can’t keep the tongue out of the way. The patients teeth are so out of line. One tooth sets mostly under the on glue.

Bantu jawab, itu sisa2 makanan/makanan dan bagian itu ga digunakan utk mengunyah. Soalnya itu giginya ada yg patah. Mgkn dia kesakitan dulu nya saat ngunyah sebelah situ. Lalu ga pernah digunain sama dia buat ngunyah dan akhirnya timbul lah karang gigi.
