Whenever I watch a human interaction with a lion, I’m always on edge waiting for something to go wrong. That’s why I find Meg so incredible because she’s the first lion I have seen who genuinely seems soft and safe to be around (safe for the lion whisperer,anyway!). You can see the love she has for him in her eyes.

Correction294, Her and Bobcat are the two lions in Kevin's sanctuary that Kevin seem to have the deepest bond with And actually it was said in this video that besides Meg that Bobcat was the only other lion in the sanctuary that let Kevin put a go pro camera on their back It is for that exact reason why Bobcat and Meg are on the top of my list for fondness of the lion's in Kevin's sanctuary even though he has other good one's in his care as well, Too

The fact that she looks much younger than she is, is largely due to the care you provide for them Kevin! Again, extremely happy to be a member 🦁❤️

@Daniel Hostetler It's the most love that a lion is capable of expressing. If it isn't trying to kill you, then you're in the ballpark. If it wants to be near you, then you're a part of the pride and they'd kill to protect you. Risking your safety for others for no other gain is the only true sign of love and friendship. Even so, lions will damn near kill pride members when they're all competing to eat on a carcass. It's like a switch. After feeding, everything's OK again.

I love Meg so much. Her and Gabby are favorite lionesses. Amy was too. I miss her a bunch.

Meg is so beautiful... " she doesn't look 18... she looks 5 or 6..." Kevin you know how to flatter a lady... one of many reasons she loves and respects you...

THE ONE AND ONLY Meg is the primo lioness of the sanctuary. Kev is her pride and seems to fulfill that need for companionship that Meg has. Of course I miss Amy but I’m positive Kevin and Meg miss her terribly. Hearing Meg is 18 and her energy is down makes my heart ache a bit. Meg not wanting to walk saddens me quite a bit. It was good to see her leave the vehicle and go roam. I could listen to Kevin talk about beautiful Meg, hearing the love in his voice, all day. Thank you Kevin tell Meg I love her so much.

Meg is my favourite lioness! I love how she looks at Kevin and how cheeky she is, stalking and pouncing on him like cubs do.

I don’t think Meg could have found anyone who loves her as much as Kev. When they were in the water together, it was like watching a daughter trust in her dad to not let go, and that’s so beautiful.

@@LionWhispererTV Part of what makes Meg and makes Meg special is the life you have given her and Aimee; we all thank you for that. I realize it's not part of 'the plan', but she does seem to miss Aimee and I suspect she'd be a great mom. At this time, there are probably a good few 'sanctuaries' and zoos looking to find homes for cubs.

Firstly, zoos & sanctuaries *have* cubs & they keep them if/when they're born. Unfortunately, that's literally a big part of what they do & some would say that's a big reason why they exist. This should be common knowledge. ? So, about your comment.. 1) Meg might look wonderful & on certain days be quite active & playful, but she IS 18. She is def most likely too old to be bearing any cubs (or taking care of them). Your comment sounded like you think Kevin should take in a cub & then give it to Meg to raise bc she's lonely. It just doesn't work that way, & there are *many* reasons why. I really don't intend to come off as rude.. there are just so many problems with your comment. You need to research. Like, a LOT. 2) Kevin's sanctuary will not bring in cubs from somewhere & give them to a lioness. There are also many reasons as to why *this* would not work either. & there's absolutely *no way* that Kevin would ever allow the animals at his sanctuary to breed.. If you didn't know that or don't understand why, then you should definitely do some research. Based off of your comment, you have quite a bit of researching to do. Just a friendly tip. :)

Every time you tell the story about Meg and Amy and how you became part of their lives my eyes get watery. Watching Meg swim up to you in the water and put her paws on your shoulders is the most precious video. Shes like a young child in a pool learning to swim with her Father trusting him with her life. It’s my favorite scene.

If Kevin hadn't rescued these tiny Lion cubs they would have drowned. They ĺove Kevin like their parent. It is such a incredibly scene where Megj jumped in the Dam, placed her paws on his shoulders....such a wonderful ❤ 💖 ♥ trust in Kevin.

Yes, Kevin had gone on vacation and the owner of the Lion Park sold Meg and Amy while he was gone. That was the when Kevin started learning about lion farms.

Meg and Amy will always be my favorite lionesses. They have such beautiful hearts and souls. When i first heard of Amy passing , my heart hurt! I don’t know these cats, yet thats the impression they left on me.

I love how Kevin encourages Meg to,”let’s go find something!” ❤❤❤

Im unwell today but ive set my alarm at 2am for old Meggy. Im sure she'll make me feel better.

She and Kevin grieved Amy's death together, and are now living life together. They are a loving pair. Doesn't get better than that!

She’s such a sweetheart❣️A moment with some tears, when that short sequence with beautiful Amy and Meg came up, followed by tears of joy❣️If someone had told me 10 years ago that our whole family would save money for a trip to SA to see a lioness that caught our hearts, I would have had my doubts even though I have loved animals all my life. Meg, Kevin, and everyone else, stay safe, and healthy❣️We can hardly wait to meet you all❣️❤️🐾😻🙏🏻

Meg is the most magical lion in the world

Always love to see Ms Meg. I still have a hard time seeing Meg without Amy. Meg doesn't look her age at all, thanks to all the loving care you give her and all the animals at the sanctuary. Very nice visit with you and Meg and the trip down memory lane. Give this girl a hug and kiss for me all the way from Canada

Never get tired of seeing meg even after a thousand times!

Kev: She's honed in to something! Meg: Let's make Kev think I'm tracking something. I'm really tracking HIM! Such a lovely lioness. Take care!

Besides hand raising them basically from birth, I believe another reason those two beautiful lady lions love and trust you is when that time they were taken from you (while you were away) and you had to fight and fight to get them back from that breeding facility, I don't think that they ever forgotten how "papa" came to their rescue. I can't imagine how confused and afraid they must have been in that place. Your girls needed to be rescued and you rescued them and I'm sure they never ever forgot.

These lion's are lucky to have you, protecting them, looking after them. Meg is a true star.

Meg is a gorgeous girl. I sobbed when Amy passed away. I listened to your book last year one day when I had a full day of chores and I found myself standing still chores abandoned waiting on pins and needles listening to the part when you had to go and get Meg and Amy back...how they knew their names...oh my heart ❤️ She is the one and only Meg.

She has so much love and trust. She is so special ❤ what a beautiful life she has as an elderly lion. Others would have her put down. Meg I swear is a human in a lions body. Beautiful video ❤❤

I feel so blessed to have access to content like this. Love to see Meg full of energy at her age! Thank you so much for letting us take a look into this side of animals most people dont get to see. Really appreciate your work Kevin!

The bond you have with Meg specifically is special. I think if anyone tried to hurt you, or any animal tried to, Meg would turn them into hamburger quick. That is an exceptional and rare bond between species.
