I do wish they extended the sequence of peter pulling off the suit a little more because as is its a pretty crazy jumpcut from him getting it off his face and chest to him suddenly having it off entirely

Yeah that was a good call by Insomniac. That eventually it was Peter's decision to get rid of the symbiote and not just because miles tried to save him. It's a good middle ground

I saw a lot of people saying that's this scene proved that Miles is the better Spider-Man and he beat Peter single handedly, but thoese people completely missed the point of this scene. Miles can't stop Peter here as Peter has to stop himself and choose to get rid of the symbiote. This is not a who would win in a fight scene, it's Peter struggling with his inner battles, and Miles has to help him realize that he is stronger than he thinks to quit his addiction to the symbiote. I think you did a great job explaining it.

I don't go to gym but... I do go to a dojo and my god does this still work like me taking off my uniform and untying my belt feels like this.

This moment had it all. The build up, the emotions, the music, the suspense on Miles seeing his friend struggle and the hero overcoming his inner battle and also the pain in his voice. This scene gives me chills every time.

I think the lines he has in the game was really great…cringey…yes but this is Spidey we talking about

The only bad thing was doing it with the mask on. Apart from not giving us the opportunity to see his facial expression it also doesnt make sense that he even has the mask on. They could have had a moment where Miles gives him his mask after symbolising how he found spiderman again

I love the music cue as the two leave Kraven's base. It's the same score ("Sacrifice") as when MJ was carrying Peter and the two collapsed as Peter was too weak, only where that mission made the music sad, this scene makes it feel hopeful again, like the Peter who fell to his death finally returned.

God damn yuri lowenthal’s voice acting as Peter rips off the suit sounds amazing like seriously it was that good

I know the track when Miles is fighting Peter is "Fighting Back" but I am specifically searching for the part where he ripps of the suit Edit : As I see it, it's not an OST on it's own, but more of a mix between "fighting back" and the original spiderman theme. In "Fighting back" at minute 1:05 you can hear the exact chorus heard when Peter rips the symbiote of his face

How tf did they not get voice actor of the year off this one scene alone.

It always bothers me how Peter will receive the symbiote without the mask on, then suddenly have it on when he removes it.

The only thing that I think would've made this fight better would be if Peter was about to start pummeling Miles, realizes what he's doing isn't him, then we go into his head and fight the symbiote as Peter before finally ripping it off

Uhh... no, just objectively wrong. When Peter fights the Hunters in front of Connors's house, the black suit comes out over the Advanced Suit. He's always wearing the Advanced Suit under the symbiote

J noticed something, when he first gets the symbiote suit its smooth and the spider is collapsed but wehn you enter the symbiote surge the suit is more vainy and thespider extends over his shoulders. Butaa time goes on the suit becomew more vainy and starts resembeling the symbiote surge suit. Showing how the alien is starting to take over peter. Thats a clever detail.

To answer the question about miles when kraven had him in the cell there was a tube in there so miles took and welp put the symbiote in the tube preventing it from trying to bond with Peter/ Spiderman again

After watching this scene again, it hurts even more now. Its like peter is fighting the darkness however miles is there to help but it is not enough. So peter had to have strong will to take it off on his own to be free with a sigh of relief. Honestly, even though its a game, it taught me something

I’m so pissed this got robbed of game of the year. It should have at least gotten one award

They should have extended the quick time event, this is one of the most beautiful scenes in the game and I’m just kinda sad it was this short.

If you could change and set both the suit under as well as assign one of the symbiote suits to be the symbiote, you could complete the Spider Man 3 homage the specific shots and details used for him tearing the suit off in this version are by having him use the respective Rami suits, and I think about this a lot these past few days.

Gonna be honest…Pete’s mask kinda ruined the moment for me. Instead of seeing the anguish on Pete’s face as he’s screaming, we see his mask. The mask that hadn’t even been covered by the symbiote. We sure he’s not still wearing it?

As someone who has completed the harry and venom mission (killing hunter ) it still feels so off and i rlly miss the surge mode it was so op wish i could play it again it was so fun

This scene wouldve been better uf his mask wasnt in so we could see his emotions and struggle

God, I love this scene SO fucking much, this entire section is my favorite in the whole game. Everything was perfect, but I wish Peter tearing off the symbiote was longer and more visceral, like the Spiderman 3 movie. Yuri absolutely KILLED IT in this scene tho.

Great game, the only complaint i have is that I wish they focused more on the self-intervention of pete. Discovering that he isnt the person he always strived to he and that being the reason why he rips off the suit. I almost feel like if miles wasn't there to stop Pete, that never would of happened which bums me out. Nevertheless a fanatsic game and a must play

Well he never really got to that point. He never knew he almost killed mj he was just being a dick and kraven dying was the worst thing he had done and he never even got a chance to kill him. Kraven ever begged him too. I feel like Pete just wasn’t given that moment just yet. Or maybe you are right and if miles wasn’t there he would’ve just turned into venom

This would have been so much better if they made it so instead of pulling the analogue sticks in two different directions, you would push down on the adaptive triggers to take it off and the triggers would push back. It would be like the symbiote is fighting YOU and doesn’t want to be taken off. You would have to put in actual force to push the triggers down and get the symbiote off

Venom wanted so much to be attached again on Peter cause he can't survive without a host he will die

That would have defeated the point. The symbiote is a metaphor for addiction. Others can help you, but ultimately, you have to take the steps that ensure you’ll recover.

@xnortheast1106 he still had Miles' help. This whole game pointed towards him not being able to do anything or anyone couldn't do anything themselves. Everyone needs help and sometimes people need help or else they lose themselves and without Miles, Peter would have been lost forever. Peter couldn't have done it alone and regardless NEEDED Miles and he didn't even know it in the moment cause his mind was so warped

it doesnt really make sense that the black suit comes off sooo easly, after this 0:50, it just gives up. in spiderman 3 for example, the suit doesnt come off, it resists, and then it gives up because there is another host right there, Brock, and unlike Peter he may not reject it.

I’m not gonna lie his suit looked really disgusting
