yea it doesnt even have to make sense it would just make for a good fun game. they could just set it in the time right after Harry became Venom and explain that Venom took a trip to fight greater foes or sum

That intro NEVER gets old the ark book covers look awesome. NGL If the game wasn't rushed by Sony we could've had the daily Bugle being invading by symbiotes in the game maybe have Triple J being taking over by a symbiote. That scene with Rio and black suit spidey was dark in that animatic

You can also notice in some of the artwork that Peter is wearing the Advanced Suit 1.0.

I never had a problem with Harry Osborn being Venom. If that was a day one planned direction for Insomniac’s Universe storytelling, that’s all well and good for me. Sometimes you gotta put the usual formula nerdy feelings aside. And let this story play out. I’ll go on a lim and say Harry survives for the purpose of being Venom again until we learn otherwise.

Would make no sense for the venom game and especially Spider-Man 3 since harry being in an a coma is the reason why Norman even wants to become the green goblin going forward, harry surviving or even becoming conscious again would honestly kill whatever they had going for SM 3 .

@@tabaributler2225 it wouldn't, the only way I see Harry becoming 'Venom' again is if Peter gave him the anti-venom suit and became anti-venom himself, the Venom symbiote is dead in this universe, somehow bringing it back would just dilute the impact

Could he just give Harry a piece of it after he experiments with it and learns how to control it more, also I don't think it would dilute the symbiote by bringing it back, I'd prefer it because just killing it off here in the sequel just seems like a complete waste. Not only that but don't forget about Carnage, and maybe Oscorp has back up symbiotes somewhere in another facility you never know.

I still think electro could return in pure energy. That was his objective, and i think, the only way he could achieve that is losing his body (in this universe). And that happened.

You did great on editing the Interaction with Rio and Peter

If and when we do get a Venom solo game from Insomniac, I do hope that they have some of the civilians in the open world start running away from Venom if he's fighting other criminals. It would definitely feel uniquely different in comparison to how New Yorkers interact with Spider-Man.

God that scrapped scene with Symbiote Spider-man and Rio was so good Really wish we got that in the game honestly

Here’s a rebuttal to the villains death. Them dying off screen shows how insignificant they are to kraven and just how much of a threat he is, plus I don’t think the story really has time to show their deaths.

​​@@mouse7965 I agree. At least showed us Kraven fighting more than just Scorpion. As it seems that's the only villain he actually really ever fought in game, and Venom. We never see him fight tombstone, we never see him fight Li, or even Miles once he gets captured, Kraven only fights Peter and Harry the entire whole game lmao. I get this is a nitpick but the most we could've got is a Miles Vs Kraven Boss fight , if they just cut one of the three segments from Li's boss fight and gave us one for Kraven against Miles instead of fighting Li 3 times that one boss fight

It’s good to have you back, Evan! From what I understand from the art book, it seems that Insomniac had so many more interesting ideas that were either changed or didn’t make it into the final game. Regardless, I really like what they’ve been working on.

Ooh, the Rio/Spidey scene is nice and creepy.

I love that you put my favorite free roam music in the background! Act two is my favorite for both Peter and Miles, and I still wonder why those aren't in the soundtrack! I knew from the beginning Eddie was not going to be venom specifically because he's not in the story. The concept of friends becoming enemies and being forced to fight each other was done so much better in the first and second game than Miles Morales. I could care less about Finn, and I didn't really feel bad for her. When Peter fights Otto and Harry, you can feel the emotion from both sides and I not only felt bad for Peter, but Harry and Otto as well. You want to save them, whereas Finn I just wanted that fight to be over. I feel the same as you about the deaths of the dirty half dozen. Why would they only show Scorpion's death when you find out later the rest of them died but it only shows small details? If it was that significant, I feel like they would've showed each of them dying. Did the book mention anything on Taskmaster? If I remember correctly, he was featured on Kraven's tablet at the beginning but he's nowhere to be found. I'm definitely sad that most of the dirty half dozen and Shocker are dead, but part of me is happy we didn't have to see all those because I would've been an absolute mess. The first game holds a very special place in my heart and when Brian confirmed Shocker was coming back, I got really excited because I thought he was going to be a reformed villain like Tombstone. I thought that's what they were hinting at when they were showing how scared he was to work for the demons. CURSE YOU BRIAN! 🤣

My best advice for insomniac for spider man 3 is whenever you think you’re going over the top, do it. This is what we wanna see

i still think rhino is still out there there has to be a reason they cut the heads on the wall and not have his armour in kravens base

They shouldve did more with the villains being hunted thing and actually showed us all of them dying after their fight with Kraven, imagine after saving tombstone we get 5 more hideouts where we have to save other Villains like Taskmaster, wraith, screwball (maybe not) and Rhino, etc and once peter bonds with the symbiote thats a focal point where he has to choose between letting one villain die or saving harry instead , smh

I believe Eddy Brok will be Venom in spin off game after Carnage DLC. Eddy/Venom personality will be based on Tom Hardy Venom Trilogy movies. Since Harry/Venom is Spiderman nemesis so Eddy/Venom has no personal beef with Peter/Spider-Man.

There’s rumours of an insomniac venom game in 2027 I know it sounds repetitive but I hope the game is about venom finding Eddie and the game is Eddie adjusting to this power and the bad guys it comes with and it shows us the journey of venom and Eddie becoming an anti hero and then in Spider-Man 3 they appear a few times whether that be in side missions or just with crimes

Thing about Venom is that he *isn't* his host, he isn't Eddie Brock, or Harry Osborne, or Peter Parker. He's Venom the symbiote, a great villain for the game and the one who has the most personal connection to Peter in this story

Actually, no. The thing about Venom is that he *is* a combination of the suit *and* host. The name “Venom” *literally only* comes from Eddie Brock and the suit bonding.

That's not true, though. The Symbiote is just a Symbiote, identical to any other. Awesomemusic19 already elaborated, Venom is just the connection between Eddie Brock/Harry Osborn and the Symbiote.

Reason 1: keeping her Scream symbiote would make her a more exciting character to use. 2: this would add to the dynamics with the Peter. 3: this would give her a more important role. 4: this would finally let her do -- giving her what she's always wanted. Throughout the games, MJ wanted to do what Peter does. By keeping her symbiote -- this is her chance to finally shine. Insomniac can make MJ shine in a way she's never shined before. Not to mention that it would reach a more inclusive audience and generate more revenue.

What people should do with venom is let him be how he was in the original comics and not something where all he does is use the symbiote. Not just that, but make it make sense instead of changing anything and everything just cause you believe it's good to do. I understand trying to do different things but most of the time, what happens is it just doesn't work in the end. It's still a good game in the end but the marketing and such wasn't the best with trying to make venom the big bad to only get to see him at the very end. Like I said previously, it's like Spider-Man 3 (2007) all over again. In the a one to one comparison but with how it played out in a sense where kraven is the equivalent as sandman in the movie and Venom is about the same as well. I may get ignored with these sort of comments and such but not a lot of people talk about this when it should be talked about more. Venom is not the same in the sense of "Let's just let him attack with the symbiote and not let him be invisible to the spider-sense". That's not how venom is and every time I see venom in modern media, it's not the character that he should be. That includes Peter and a lot of others. It's really sad to see these things and yeah everyone is complaining about the way the comics are treating Spider-Man but they should also look beyond that with these characters as well.

I agree Marvel's Spider Man 2 is amazing. At least it's better then Spider Man 3 movie because it's more fleshed out. Kraven is the best villain in the game and more fleshed out even more then Sandman. Venom in the game is better then the movie Venom. Only the third act with Venom was rushed as per Bryan Intihar. But yeah it could have been better in a way 3/3 acts are great instead of 2/3 acts.

I really enjoyed Spider-Man 2 but I feel Ed like they could have done so much more if they had more time, don't get me wrong I think insomniac spiderman has one of the best black suit arcs but it could've been abit longer, and scenes like the one from the draft of Rio and Peter would really show how dark the symbiote made Peter, I aslo think that insomniac could've fleshed out Venom even more but I think that's what the upcoming Venom game is for. But I hope that Spider-Man 3 will be better than both 1 and 2 especially story wise. Not too say the Spider-Man 2 story is bad it's good just I expected more since Spider-Man 1 was so good

@@robertkenny1201 But there's no real reason to do so other than fan service. 1 - Flash would be in the military, 2 - Both Flash and Eddie have literally no place in Insomniac's universe. They have no good reason to warrant being Venom. Harry was chosen to make an interesting story, while Eddie Brock (outside of the movies and Spectacular Spider-Man) is simply just not an interesting character.

@_veloxity91 Well I hate to break this to you but this Harry Osborn Venom thing isn't exactly a original idea either since it was done in the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, and just because Harry Osborn is still doesn't mean he's going to be Venom anymore, the ending left no hints that the symbiote is still in his blood, and even if it is its possible it could leave him to find a new host. For all we know they kept Harry Osborn alive to be Hobgoblin.

My two biggest issues with the game is story length, didn’t flesh out any other villains’ deaths. Venom was Rushed. Feels like we have multiple chances to fight him and engage with him and then it just becomes s a symbiote gang fight. The second issue i have is with Peter feeling nerfed from the first game. This is Peter in his PRIME!!! Why are you getting smacked by Aunt May’s fridge? Hell the first game Peter was WHOOPIN ass!! As he should!! Venom should have been the ONLY villian to test Peter’s Strength. Because venom is literally twice as strong as peter. Until peter doesn’t hold back.

I agree that the third act with Venom was rushed as we would mainly be fighting his symbiote gang but about the 2nd issue, Peter wasn't nerfed at all as both Peter and Miles got equal amount of struggles. Peter beated more baddies then Miles ever did. He beated Kraven, Lizard, Venom, Scream and Wraith. Miles only beated Mysterio and Mr Negative. Also quit being blinded by the memes. The meme is dead. Peter lifted that fridge away. Don't forget that Peter can get pinned under certain objects based on the damage he takes. He was pinned under pile of metal in the first game when Mr Negative made Dr Delany kill himself. Venom was crazy strong.

they changed the story and narrorative because sweet baby inc. said so

I just wish Sweet Baby Inc wasn't involved in this game. Other than that the game was good not great but good.

After this game being disappointing, I kinda wish I could see what, sucker punch would of done with Spider-Man.

This version of venom was gold awful. Never need to see it again.

@@thisbubblygoodness7611 I've played the game enough of times to realize Harry didn't hate Spider-Man, both of them. Even in the climax of the game. That's why 'duality' didn't work. There wasn't enough hatred shown and all Harry wanted was to get Pete on his side since act 3. That doesn't work with Venom as a whole lmao, that's also why Venom and Eddie in the comics have more love than any iterations rn.

I can understand that for sure. But at the same time, I don't think a lot of people (people like Evan here) are pointing out the things that are "bad" or "wrong" that the game did or whatever. I've been saying a lot in these comments about how they treated venom pretty poorly just because modern media can't keep their characters consistent anymore. They have to change every little thing about the character and for venom, it started with the '94 cartoon where they decided to make peter more "angrier" or whatever and now look what happened. It's getting so over used and annoying to see all the time in media. But with venom still in mind, now their making him NOT use webs like he should if the symbiote came from Spider-Man. And the symbiote should've blocked out Peter's Spider-Sense anyways but again, modern media doesn't do that. So there's a lot of reasons for it. But I personally hope they didn't cancel the dlc. Plus, people should realize that chameleon should be apart of the dlc as well from those missions that happened so what about him? Everyone's talking about beetle or carnage and yet their leaving out this other dlc villain as well that should happen .
