An interesting change-up from the original 1984 Secret Wars storyline; a great example of "toy box" storytelling. 👍

Funny how they turned Thors into policemen kinda like how DC portrays green lanterns. In a standalone story, Thor is almost OP, here Thors get bodied by a spear

This is unmatched man. My ADHD ass has so much trouble remembering small intricacies in stories along with much more 😅 You make this digestible for people who have trouble reading the stories. Even though I own the tpb and have read this story twice, your story always helps me remember without having to reread.

To add to other comments I looked it up and Secret Wars actually wasn't that long. Only 9 issues. I think all the stuff leading up to it with the incursions made it longer. There's also all the battleworld tie ins. Which is really unfortunate and makes it feel like a lot of missed opportunities.

Secret Wars for me will always be the 1980s series. Not this recycled trash that was just slapped with the “Secret Wars” name on it. That was an amazing dark series back then. All of you youngsters should read them.

15:38 two highlights are definitely black panther and namor somehow having not killed each other and Miles and Peter just arguing over the burger. Also don't know how Maestro and an army of world breaker hulks didn't instantly win the battle. Edit: Wait, real quick, how long did Doom expect Battleworld to be peaceful and complacent when he named it *B A T T L E W O R L D*

There is one, and only one, acceptable reason why it would be okay for them to add sleeves to Wolverines costume; that reason would be having Deadpool epically cut them off with his katanas to dramatically reveal Hugh Jackman's massive guns.

I'm liking what I see here about God Doom, the Cabal, this mustached version of Reed Richards(who here does resemble Pedro Pascal, the new MCU Reed), Cyclops using the Phoenix Force, Sherriff Strange, Franklin & Valeria Richard's, the Molecule Man, the Cabal villains, the Illuminatti, the Thor Corps, Black Swan, Thanos!. So much going on here plotwise! So awesome! If this is how Secret Wars/Battlefield plays out in Avengers 5 & 6, it's going to be profoundly awesome! Better than Infinity War! Wow..as a longtime Marvel fan boy, I can't wait for this!

The fact that Thor variants became a "Police force" here really disrespects Thor. A god and an asgardian should not be taken down easily or portrayed as guards of the universe.

You should check out the older stories (a lot of the new stories are just them recycled), from before “events” happened every month. They were actually great stories and usually great endings.

One of the best Marvel story's up until War World. Really seems to be a problem with Marvel, they have great stories but when it comes to the endings. Hydra Captain America was a great story till the end too.

Are you saying how this is another marvel rip off of older material?

The only rough thing is that I’d like every full story when I listen to it. So stuff is showing up that I did listen to on the new channel. On the other hand two good things. Most of those stories are worth listening to again and you need to watch time. That is the one thing I’m concerned about. That you’re posting stuff from your other channel that people have already listen to, and those videos might not perform well.

Secret Wars was originally released in the early 80’s. It was awesome. THATS the one and ONLY Secret Wars. DONE DEAL.

Story is a trash ... why can't each superhero of each universe help each other to find a common solution.

Some people say this is the greatest story told, others say its full on bait to mix all diverse character into 1 universe. Cause if marvel could they'd get rid of Peter Parker for a long time. They don't see him as their mickey mouse. They're scared of the cis white hetero good hearted man.
