First thing I did was swap her arms and torso to the Lady Deadpool figure.

QotD: The only time I bought a whole wave solely for the BAF was the Onslaught wave because I found them for 5 bucks each at 5 Below. Id rather just source the part on eBay than buy extra figures I don’t want tbh.

I stopped buying complete BAF waves two years ago, but I found some of these in store and ordered the rest on eBay because I'm ride or die for Ka--Zar, Zabu and Cable. I removed the cape from Red Widow and put the MCU Jessica Jones head on her and now she's part of my GI Joe Classified Cobra Crimson Guard display. I'm happy with Ikarus because it evokes Jack Kirby's glorious artwork, and I traded Black Winter Thor and Wolfsbane to my local vintage toy shop for stuff I actually wanted. So I'm not unhappy with the fact that I bought the entire wave because I got what I wanted out of it, but it would have been a lot less work for me if they had just released Ka-Zar and Zabu as a two-pack. I'd have happily paid $75 for that instead.

The BAF does force me to buy things I don’t want most of the time. It’s getting harder and harder to part out what I don’t want too.

I only get the BAF part with the figure I want, otherwise I just get the BAF part loose.

This figures parts can be used to customize Lady Deadpool. Give her double jointed arms.

QOTD: I will not but a whole wave for a BAF. I will wait for the re-issue 2 years later.

When it comes to build a figures for me it all depends. For instance this wave and the Kingpin wave I bought every figure right away, but the Ursa Major wave I did not. I probably bought only three of the figures from the Ursa Major wave and the rest of the build-a-figure parts were purchased off eBay.

I only buy BAF second hand, but that also applies to Marvel Legends in general. It's never worth it to buy them at full price when I'll probably just find them for 10 o 15 euros a couple of months later

Unfortunately I think now it's cheaper to buy the figures than the baf parts separately, especially for Zabu

I tend to buy the baf on ebay. Haven't completed a wave since the Xenmu baf wave.

I have done three in last 5 years . Xemu, the Deadpool venom, and Sugarman. With some figures I paid full price some I got clearanced. Most were from store fronts. I have to really want the Baf and not think most of the figures are something I will hate on sight. Quality control issues, a bad interpretation(concept ), or lacks any real effort.

Most BAFs these days arent really worth it anyway, there are some like Supet Skrull and Strong Guy but most of them are just meh like Choad or Bonecracker. The new Odin figure could be a BAF but like you said, the waves themselves are mostly bad so its better this way.

Unfortunately, I can't answer the question of the day because I don't collect Marvel Legends anymore lol. Come to think of it, the last BAF I finished was that winged Hob Goblin

I used to get a whole wave, most baf's Ive wanted to build. But as time goes on more and more baf's are half built and I need to pass on stuff. Some I dont want to, some I do because they are crap. I am really wanting to have a new complete baf though, i pre ordered all of the blackheart wave,

Ka Zar looks different then I remember. LOL. If I want the BAF I buy the wave, if I dont want it I try and only get the figures I want. I ditched the cape and head but I like the buck for a custom.

Unfortunately, living in Scandinavia getting BAFs or BAF parts 2nd hand isn't really a viable option. Hasn't been much of a concern to me though, since I have a pretty narrow range of MLs i'm interested in, and that generally doesn't include BAFs... but of course they then go and announce Blackheart as a BAF in a wave where I care about zero of the characters, making me a bit distressed about how difficult and/or expensive it'd be to get him :/

*QotD:* As a general collector, I'd only buy either the figures I want, or the BAF I want directly. I don't care for this wave beyond _finally_ getting Cable because MvC2, and I bought the old Dormammu BAF directly because that's how he looked in UMvC3.

I always thought BAFs were stupid, I get why they do them but I always hated it, Im glad they're doing more deluxes now that wouldve been BAFs years ago

The only wave I completed just to get the BAF was the Strong Guy one I actually bought the entire wave one time. I wanted to form my X-Factor team (even if incomplete, Strong Guy makes a presence though). There are sellers here who sell the BAF separately from the figs. The prices are adjusted though and that sometimes is a double-edged sword.

@@CyberDragon10K Yep. And sometimes, because you also want some figures in the wave, you have to deal with how popular they are among the community. The pricing gets adjusted accordingly: the popular ones are more expensive, while the less popular ones are really cheap. It's actually one of the reasons why I'm turned off by this hobby. I still like to buy some here and there but not the way I was buying action figures a few years back.

Are the Widows now like the Lanterns in DC where you get a whole color spectrum of Widows? Are we gonna see Blue Widows, Yellow Widows, Orange Widows, Purple Widows, etc??

im all my years of collecting legends, I've only bought full waves to complete a baf twice, with Zabu though, I really want him but nobody is selling his parts second hand where I live so I might just get the whole wave

Now, no. Back in the day yes..... to a certain extent. I would look for them on clearance. For example, I bought the hulkbuster BAF mostly on clearance to complete it. I had the SHF x chogokin hulkbuster at the time and you can compare those two at all.

Red Widow? Looks good but as an "action" figure it lacks because of that cape. I cannot remember the last time I bought a wave for the BAF. Probably Bring On The Bad Guys wave. I get my BAFs from ebay now as it is way much cheaper than owning a figure with no connection to whatsoever.

I don't buy whole waves. I just give my build the figure parts to my friends.

I’d always hang the boxes of figures I’d keep sealed but even just the shape overtime they bow out the side it’s horrible, funny enough the windowless being straight sides was better, then they went back which I didn’t care for all that much however the new style of window, straight, and thicker cardboard I’m down with. Depends on the build a figure if I want most of the figures I’ll get the hole set only if I hate most then I’d try second hand.

I usually buy the build a figure second hand because when you try to buy them by parts people want $27 for each part

I’ve only bought two waves for a BAF. But normally, I won’t. I’ll either buy the BAF straight out or not at all.

I think Imma go back to focusing more on Classified. I know you not into that. But I also know you would understand why. Legends is getting to pricey for so little. Blame those Street fighter figures too. I got spoiled off of them.

Some what both I've bought hole waves for BAF and just figures of the BAF I have interest in.

Q of the Day: I did buy the whole wave because it seemed like the most cost effective way to complete Zabu, but I was mistaken. You can’t give this figure away.

Interesting review, it's too bad Hasbro Hasbroing too much. I don't think I have ever bought the entire wave to obtain BAF pieces. It's such a dis-service to yourself- having to buy characters you REALLY don't want. It's easier to search the parts you want through other means and you'd be happier too.

Honestly, I think the whole BAF concept is really antiquated at this point. I would much rather scrap the BAF piece and instead get more accessories/paint with the main figures, large characters can be “deluxe” releases or something.

I prefer a two pack in this case, pets shouldn't be BAF, Cosmo the dog for example, could be in the same box with Rocket Raccoon.

For BAF that I really want, I’d rather buy the pieces on the secondary market because what’s the point of having a toy you don’t want?

I really, really hate the big plastic cape on this one. Just a big plastic lump with no apparent paint detail. I've never bought a full BAF wave. If a figure looks cool and I have some disposable money, I'll pick it up.

If I wanted a BAF separate I'd have to import if from America which costs the same as purchasing half a wave just for the shipping. So if I really want a BAF I just buy the whole wave. Haven't bought any legends in over 5 years though because they're trash. That and I refuse to give Hasbro money for the odd figure that is of acceptable quality because they all should be like that.

Never heard of Red Widow. Can I sub her for Jinx of GI Joe or Nemesis of Alpha Flight? hahaha...

Never get a full BAF cause all waves got at least a fcking horrible figure that I don't want, Ikaris and Red Widow are two of them.

I know its Marvel Legends but this figure should of come with a cloth cape. McFarlane is doing it. 🤦 I do not expect wiring but competitive effort is getting the sale.✌️

I only buy all the figues if i can get them reduced just completed the puff adder. controller, ursa major and bonebreaker and paid less that 50% for the figures some alot less. Only ever buy legends at full price if i really really want the figure
