"I need to kill them to get some more blood vials". And that's how a blood-drunk hunter is born.

@@nathanhall9345 especially since if you go into the like "help" info on the menu the game specifically defines HP as "will to live" rather than physical health so in a way injecting blood and regaining health from the rally mechanic are both ways the hunter is literally getting so high on blood that he's unkillable. Like Florida Man on bath salts, except it's Yahrnam Man injects liter of blood and becomes wolfbeast.
Woo, another boss down, you’re smashing this! Logarius was my first real wall in Bloodborne, I struggled a lot trying to learn him. Like, burn through my store of blood vials struggle. And that boss run was just salt in the wound every damn time lol. You first heard of the Vilebloods from Alfred, you might wanna go have a chat and see if he fancies a mini vacay to Castle Cainhurst. You last saw him in Cathedral Ward, on the way to the Already Dead password keeper. Also, Shaun running around in the dress/graveguard mask combo? 💯A fashion icon, truly. 👑
I don't know if anyone has pointed it out already, but Ludwig's Holy Sword has an overhead L2 attack when transformed that is useful for hitting enemies that are close to the ground, like worms and crows. It's a good attack, and it's the benefit you get for 2-handing the weapon and not being able to use a gun while it's transformed.
The mysterious carriage is a staple of a lot of Dracula media, actually. Most of them with their own twist on what makes it creepy and unsettling. I guess it makes sense that they would have a Dracula-inspired area in a game about a Victorian city succumbing to monstrous transformation as a result of sustaining themselves on blood.
1:06:00 oooh that was almost the coolest bosskill ever 🤩 Two broken weapons, virtually no resources, and the sudden realisation you can parry the **** out of old father Logarius. One was all you needed
The fact that you are wrecking the flea women in front if Cainhurst is so damn impressive. I always just run through because they wreck me.
I had a similar reaction to you when traversing the outside of the castle, it's so strange and it feels like you're doing something the game doesn't want you to do. It was all worth it though, we've always known Shaun is a king at heart and now he has the attire to prove it 😎 👑
Yo, these vids are a joy to watch. You totally know your way through the game (without actually knowing it, ofc), you focus impressively well on your surroundings, your commentary is appropriate, inquisitive and hella funny as well! Keep up the great stuff!

YW. I can't wait until you get to the fishing village in the DLC. Some of my favorite design levels. I am always feel so rushed going from place to place, completing the next task. I need to change the way I play to observe more. To savor. When Elden Ring drops, I will try to keep this in mind.

@@SymbaLily keep on kicking ass! You're doing great in this game! You're playing it better on your first blind run than I did on my 3rd run.
You are seriously smashing this! One of your Bloodborne videos was in my recommended list, and as a fellow developer I was keen to see what you did. You've inspired me to do my own Elden Ring Let's Play while I've got the chance to give my first impressions of everything like yourself. Keep up the excellent work - You'll be through this in no time at this rate!
Someone's probably already mentioned it but yeah, at risk weapons deal massively reduced damage. Generally why it's worth repairing them even if you've only used very minor amounts of durability. Don't want to be caught doing chip damage to a boss or something when 5 extra points could've been the difference.
The illusion of Queen Analisse's chamber becomes cooler if you look closely to it, and then go back to the first lamp and look at the big building whose roof you fight Logarius on: both are actually the same building. 👑
''This must be special!'' You said, as you found an item guarded by a dozen irritating enemies. I remember being that new... : (
👑 Heck yeah! Logarius is one of the tougher fights in the main game, so to knock him out in just a few tries at a big disadvantage was bloody great work! You may remember that someone you know mentioned wanting to go to Cainhurst, and you can meet them there too.
Watched until the end, Van helsing is a guilty pleasure of mine also, I think i still have the dvd from when I was a kid!
Good job with Logarius, especially second phase. Remember that other guy that wants to go to Cainhurst but never got summoned, get him the invitation and shenanigans will follow...
I can’t believe you almost killed old Log with broken weapons on your first try! 😭 you made it look so easy I’m looking back on when I first encountered him like 🤨 he was one of those bosses that I was underleveled for and his arcane attacks were just obliterating me. he gave me SUCH a hard time until I finally figured out how to parry him death. Watching you fight him definitely was my favourite part of the video, it was so good. The roller coaster of watching you enter the arena with broken weapons and like 25k echoes only to fall off the roof and die was truly something else, and I mean that with complete sincerity. 😂 Thank you the video, as always looking forward to whatever comes next! 💜 👑
👑 😊 this is one of my favorite areas in the whole game. especially with the bram stoker dracula vibes
It's so funny how you're an environmental designer and so always spotting stuff that no-one else does, like the secret moving bookcase
Same! I've got good memories from watching Van Helsing when I was a kid. It was really satisfying seeing you absolutely destroy the boss with high skill boosted viscerals in his second phase 👑
Just found your channel after beating that pain in the ass boss at the end 😂. Don't even get me started on the trek there, I swear the should put that run part of the military physical fitness test! Something genuine in you has made me become a fan for life. Wish you all the blessings the Cosms and blood can give you!
👑 also worth going and speaking with Alfred again :)
I cant believe you beat Logarius on your third try that's insane. It took me so many tries. HOW Amazing job, so impressed.
I find myself in the same boat as you are about cainhurst. Love the area and setting and really hate fighting most of the enemies that are there. The tick ones are really irritating. But the area design there is so cool. Love to just look around while there. You also got a badge from becoming a vileblood that lets you buy some new armor if that’s interesting to you. Loved this episode though! It’s always a good day when a new bloodborne episode goes up. You played really well in this one. And figured out the big key to making the boss fight easier on yourself. I think you dropped this queen 👑
I don’t know if you read my comment on your previous Bloodborne video, but please, please do not worry about people’s criticisms or nitpicks about your gameplay!! You are still doing extremely well for your first time. I feel like you actually understand this game. It’s a blast to watch. All I wanna do is share a bit of lore every now and again because I feel like you’re the type to appreciate it! Yet, for now…just please keep enjoying your walkthrough. 😊
Fun fact: the sword that Logarius sticks to the ground - the one that you destroy to stop the sword rain - you can actually just shoot it from a distance if you lock on to it :)
Ah, cool! I'm glad you made it to Cainhurst! And found the keep behind the illusion, too! I expected no less. Wonderful!
👑Well done. Glad you met Queen Annalise. One of the cooler NPCs in the game imo, love her voice acting.
Cainhurst was a fun, yet frustrating level. It’s incredible how you at knocking out these bosses without so many struggles! You definitely know how to read attacks and notice things well and quickly. Oh and 👑
Hi Amber, good to see you back Bloodborning. Such a cool cut scene when you’re whisked off to Cainhurst Castle. 🙂 You can give the Cainhurst Summons you picked up to Alfred to continue his quest line BTW.

One of my favorite areas not for the challenge but all the roof climbing stuff. Feels super sneaky. Great job during this session! 👑
Watching this after your DS1 playthrough and waiting for the next part of DS2. Good stuff! 👑
I actually needed to be carried by my friend to beat Logarius on my first run, I hadn't leveled vitality at all because I thought "HP is just an excuse to make mistakes, I need damage" but then couldn't afford mistakes to learn anything on his fight. That fight was fantastic, awesome vid
Loved how you almost got him in an ultimate comeback when you started parrying him! You got him quickly after anyways by staying calm and parrying like a queen 👑! Being able to fall to ur death during a boss fight surely is annoying, but at the same time I feel like it also makes for some hilarious moments and adds to the difficulty (although the rooftops were very cramped.. in dark souls the 'falling arenas' usually are a bit more spacious)
Best part is this whole place is optional, just shows the care they put into these games 🤩
For me, this area's boss was the toughest to beat. You're a good player, thanks for the content. Très divertissant and brings back memory of my journey into this tough but rewarding game.
For a frosty, crusty mummy, Marty Logs is one cool jefe.I rather like the sound of the row of homing wisps he casts at mid range. It's a spooky noise, yet pleasant somehow.
Your playthroughs are so subtle but funny and fun. Love your videos keep them coming!
Having watched the Dark Souls playthrough already I knew the rooftop would be an issue lol. Great episode! 👑
I've really been enjoying playing alongside your let's play! Looking forward to the next ep!
Keep up the great work Amber! It’s fun to relive a first playthrough, and the awe it inspires.
Thank you very much for the video walkthrough. 22:25 - Lucky. 57:45 - Logarius rarely stood so close to the edge. I wonder if he himself will fall down stepping back ..? Coolly defeated Logarius with counterattacks.
Great video as always. One of the many things I love about these games is the scenery. Everything you can see in the distance is somewhere you will be going. You can see Cainhust when you are in that back area of Hemmick. Cainhust is good for soul farming but I had serious problems with Logarius - probably my most hated boss in the game.
Just started watching your Bloodborne play through, and it’s so rewarding watching you improve soo much from when you started, love the energy you have !
👑 Wow you actually did great against Logarius. His first phase of ranged blood magic is usually pretty frustrating. Thankfully his second phase is a lot of parry-able attacks. You figured out his patterns super quick. As for falling off it's a classic SoulsBorne death that we all must suffer like a rite of passage 😄 the only unfair part is that Logarius can't be pushed off the pledge no matter how much you try to. Looking fwd to the next episode. P.S. The unopened summons does have a use. Won't say anything more though for spoilers' sake.
👑 always a joy to watch your reactions 😂 the winged bat people and even the boss fight was awesome
Hell yeah! Welcome back (even though it hasn't been 10 days since the last video but it's felt like more 😂). Looking forward to this episode exploring one of the coolest areas of Bloodborne. It's crazy that this is all optional and incredibly easy to miss!!
👑 Really enjoying your playthrough! Thanks for uploading.
The "snakes" outside the castle look more like giant tapeworms to me. With their capacity to stagger the player, plus their being difficult to hit, I find them immensely irritating. Quite a throwback to Dark Souls 1 and the worms which burst out of dead "eggy boys" in the Demon Ruins.
I am just binging your videos, LOVE EM!
👑👑 You can use the unopened Summons to bring Alfred to this place. However, even though it progresses his quest line, he is an EXECUTIONER, I won’t say anymore 🤐 Love the episode, crazy how once you learned he was parriable you almost killed him in about 30 seconds with nonstop parry’s!! May the good Blood Guide your Way!! 👁

It’s Probably illegal but I always wear the Executioners Garb with the Vileblood Oath 🤧🤧 Once you learn the full story the level will make so much more sense in hindsight. This is probably my Favourite, if not TOP 3 Areas&Bosses in the game!
I really like Martyr Logarius! Great job on beating him! Btw some tips for NG+ and beyond (^^), You should try to dodge forward through attacks. Like when Logarius throws out his red skulls, instead of backing away, dodge forward through them. And the reason he kept using the sword-in-the-ground attack is because you kept running away from him. If you had kept at melee range he wouldn't have done it as much. Also you can just shoot the sword instead :) Anyway great video as always :D
great video! kinda bummed out i'm caught up now though, haha 👑 suggestions: - you should do an episode of nothing but you reading descriptions on everything in your inventory 😆 that's where like 75% of the lore/worldbuilding/plot happen - give the saw spear another shot! it's my go-to weapon, mostly for its versatility. it's got a good balance of speed/power, excellent range in trick form, has serrated damage in both forms (so you do bonus damage against beasts), and the R2 on spear mode does thrust damage which lots of things are weak to (like the aliens and other slimy bois). finally, it scales off SKL primarily and STR as a secondary stat, so it fits your build perfectly - play around with trick combos! if you hit L1 after an attack, instead of just transforming the weapon it'll do an attack as well. some weapons will let you do some fun combos by mixing L1s in from time to time
Rooftop Rumble with an old dude, red pyjamas and a white beard... Bad Santa!! Krampus is going down!! 🎅
One thing you need to know about the soulsborne games. Pretty much always say yes, join everyone. Many times it's a form of a side quest or faction that is beneficial
Well done beating Logarius. Alongside Ebrietas, one of the toughest in the game. Get the Nightmare Frontier done before going further - it is probably low level for you now, and it would make more sense to you storywise before doing other areas. 🤴
I stopped playing for like a full week the first time I died to Logarius and saw how far the run back to the boss would be, but I'm also trash at this game so each boss (besides the Witches of Hemwick, but they hardly count!) takes me like 20+ tries to finally beat, so long runbacks mean losing AGES of free time to sprinting around the castle. Super impressed how methodical & deliberate you play--makes for a watch! I hope the comments have improved from earlier as well; it's great for people to get invested in a playthrough, but it sucks when people start acting possessive of your experience.
grant us eyes...grant us eyes! tread a measure with the gods, Amber!
These area’s look so cool! Half the battle is such surviving the enemies! Hah, enjoyed the Episode! 🤗
You're doing great in this! Missed you :) Glad to see you back
👑 Yes! I missed this series. Great vid! :)
I can say that I really enjoy watching your Bloodborne playthrough. The way you learn things seems like what FromSoftware intended when making these games. Unfortunately I read a guide from the beginning of my first playthrough on Bloodborne and it really diminished the experience. Didn't make the same mistake with Sekiro and had an absolute blast. 👑
You're absolutly killing these bosses! Well done! 👑👸
👑 Good job Amber. All i remember about the beasties at the start of that area is hard dodging all of them and legging it into the castle! GG 👑
Noble's dress + Graveguard hood is such a vibe
Alfred exists... He's actually my favorite NPC, I just really appreciate him. I also acknowledge that this might seem non-sensical and that's fine too. 👑
Wow....cant believe you almost killed Logarius with almost broken weapons and almost purely through parrying and viscerals! you are a PARRY GODDESS! well done, Logarius was the one boss that made me rage quit for a week haha. Cainhurst is one of my favorite areas of the game, such good level design and asset use/placement. Try taking the unopened summons to Alfred and then going back to Annalise for a cool event :) Also one tip I'll give is to always repair your weapons first thing whenever you go back to the dream, before spending any echoes on level ups. Doing that will help prevent your weapons from being at risk and reducing your damage. Cheers!
Great Work, Today! Thanks for the Vid!
👑 loving your playthrough, especially taking down Martyr Logarius with viscerals. He gave me a lot of trouble
👑 Take your breaks whenever you want to, we’re having the most fun whenever you are having fun
Great job, Amber! My favorite part is a tie between getting multiple parries on Marty while he had his anti-parry magic on and the first 5 or seconds of your intro. I think you must have been just really close to him so the bullets couldn't swerve away in time before hitting him. Very cool.👑
13:45 "Thrust attack is effective" loooool
Love these videos, amazing content
love this series!!! 👑
Whoa you smashed that! It took me so many more tries to figure him out. Got a couple of fun tips for you. 1. If you get grabbed by an enemy you can mash the L2 R2 buttons to mitigate damage. And 2. You'll find something fun behind the workshop when you go to the dream. Love the videos!
Amber, now would be a great time to start the DLC! Because you’re getting close to beating the game, and once you beat it you are thrown into NG+ and will have to go through the game again to enter the dlc, so start and finish the dlc before finishing the game. Also keep up the good work! Love the energy and vibes you have!

41:57 Actually Executioner's Gloves is a special item. It casts 3 arcane skulls (very similarly to Logarius spells). 1:15:10 You can give it to Alfred, that located in Cathedral Ward. And after that return to the Castle.

The Reiterpalsch is pretty neat. It made me especially interested into doing the avlt playthrough, since I did skill first. Granted I didn't manage to make good use of it in pve. I hear it can work well in pvp encounters. Damn, talking Bloodborne makes me want to play it again. When will it stop? :D
As a little vileblood baby doing bloodtinge all the time, Martyr Logarius is required for my builds at times, making him one of the most challenging bosses for me. Glad to be able to relate to your pain lol.
Hi Amber! Another great video as always. Cainhurst is probably my favourite area in the game, I just love the design, lore and atmosphere. I didn't see you look at it in the video so just as an FYI you picked up the Cainhurst badge by swearing the oath. This unlocks some weapons and armour at the hunters dream merchant and the other merchant that you spend insight at (open door/window opposite the weapon workbench). I'd leave doing the DLC until the very end of the game personally but you can probably get through it at this point. Without wanting to spoil anything the end of the game is when you go through the closed gate in the hunters dream.
Sephiroth creatures 😂 But welcome back and Congrats for visit the Cainhurst and beating Logarius 👑

"Woo, I fell off." LOL OMG a year later and this made me laugh so hard.
Helloooo, Shaun is a true QUEEEEN. Now he has the dress and the crown to show it!
Thanks for another funny and great episode of my favorite game :) I recommend you to do the DLC before the final boss because the difficulty is harder than any of the main game in my opinion. But this is the best DLC ever created, better than anything I've ever played, so if you do it now, I wouldn't mind ;)
Your uploads make my day and have inspired me to challenge myself to play Elden Ring when it comes out 😊

I really don't like it. I mean it's got fun ideas in some parts but everything feels kinda bland and lazy on the creative part, especially when you see the budget of the movie. And it's by the guy who did The Mummy movies, which I liked way better and found very entertaining so I felt kinda let down when it came out.
Just started watching this a couple days ago, and it’s been so fun so far! I’m really hoping that you’re gonna take a crack at some of the other FromSoft games, especially now that Elden Ring has came out! 😆 Btw.
