It's pure talent, without egos getting in the way. When musicians all pull together in the same direction, amazing things can happen. God bless the real players, they do make a joyful noise unto the Lord (translation for the non-believers: they kick mother f-in ass).

Johnny still has the great voice. Playing with Marty and his band, they have created the best version of "Poor Side of Town". Fabulous! This sounds better than 90% of the new music coming out anymore.Don't worry, Johnny, you are in many people's Hall of Fame.

Local radio Stations and the bigger night clubs, a great show every time , he also played lead guitar on every song , an excellent guitar player ,it was legal to drink alcohol in the state parks back in those hippie days , they always had kegs of beer , , ,

I think Johnny would have managed it fine like many others have done, but then I think huge success has ruined many and even killed a few. I think what we have go with Johnny has been great the way it played out. And you know even if Johnny doesn't realize how many fans and appreciation he has it sure seems like he has and does truly enjoy what he has and is doing, and that is the most important part.

It is one end to the other all great songs. He covered a lot of songs in his career, but no one does 'em like Johnny does. He still performs and does a lot of great guitarin'. And who cares about hall of fames. They are all more problems than they are worth. We all have our own favortites. God's got Johnny's spot in his HOF one day.

What does one do if he knows/and his mates know that what they see and hear is a 70 plus man who is one monstrous music box- the diners with the choices in them, that he would fill everyone ever made, "superlatively" WELL TO ALL WRITERS!!!! HERe IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO WRITE a biography that will ROCK ROCK!! THe king of "sleepers" . Start with this fact. This low key man is worth $150 Million. He did not do that in a vacuum,, he never sold an athletic piece of crap, nor his name- rather he bought belief in himself. But owning your own label is the smartest, gutsiest thing, as the hate comes down on you for actually acting as a capitalist in America- how dare he... the writer would have to open up this mans heart- which i believe is in a tight lock bock, he is the initiate to the Whiskey, and his name someone had enough integrity to list his name first, then landing mccoo, then the new bachrach , namely jimmy webb!! THe book would tellme if for X millions Webb's rights were sold?? Then how did he get the very finest back-ups that one can see at JR's Monterey appearance==Jim Gordon for one played a lot of drums for jr. Did JR pay the SCALE? or did they say to jr- "This one is on us" Recently I have figured his favorite genre was the blues!! notice his jaw muscles going apalaflective plus his body gets into it, and he plays a very righteous lead guitar- in rooster-a whole new vibe happens. anyway Jr it is ok to BRAGG as peole have no clue, and your BRAGG is backed up...

Saw Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives at a show in a very small converted church turned into a concert venue called "The Tabernacle" in Mt. Tabor, NJ a few years back during the "Way Out West" tour...that tight little hall couldn't have sat more than a couple hundred people...best show I ever attended!
