If there is a greater voice in country music than Gene Watson, I have never heard it.

Gene Watson is the only country singer that ever made my dad cry. My dad loved everything Gene Watson ever recorded & SO DO I. My dad's favorite song by Gene Watson was "The Old Man & His Horn". When I hear Gene Watson singing I always go back in my mind to some WONDERFUL MEMORIES of me & my dad in the late 70s. I was 9 yrs old in 1978 & me & my dad would just get out & ride around in Houston Co Alabama in his on 1972 Chevy C-10 l.w.b. p/u...3spd on the column...no a/c...no p/s...8-track player always playing Waylon, Cash, Merle Haggard, Johnny Duncan, The Statler Brothers, Paycheck, Gene Watson, The Oakridge Boys, Tom T Hall, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Don Williams, Porter Wagoner, Stonewall Jackson, Boxcar Willie, & I could go on & on about the GREAT CLASSIC COUNTRY MUSIC I HEARD GROWING UP IN THAT OLD TRUCK THAT I STILL LOVE & LISTEN TO TODAY!!!

I flew from New Zealand to see Marty and the superlatives at the midnight jam at the Ryman. It was the greatest show ive ever been to. Lots of great artists but striding above them all was Mr Stuart the keeper of the truth.

I just discovered Marty Stuart today 10/17/14. This guy is fantastic, I am now a huge fan. All the people on the show are super talented. Not only that, his show is a family show based on talent and not on filth. God bless you Marty Stuart.

Oh man, these Marty Stuart Shows are great.

Gene Watson with twin Texas fiddles, Leroy Troy, Connie Smith, Marty Stuart and the Fabulous Superlatives packed into 20 odd minutes. I'd pay $75 bucks to go to that show but here it's absolutely free. Life is good.

It was difficult for Connie to "follow" Gene, but she did okay. You'd never, ever think of following the great Gene Watson on any show!

Gene Watson is great and Marty Stuart's lead guitar player is great !!

This show was one of the best. Just so much energy packed the show, Gene Watson only one of the best country singers around.

Love to hear Connie and Marty sing can't wait till October to see them in person.

Marty and The Fabulous Superlatives are the Swiss Army Knife of music. They can do everything well. I've lost count of how many instruments The Apostle Paul can play. Oh yeah, Gene Watson's the man too.

absolutely right. The Superlatives can back up any c/w singer from Gene to The Hag, Charlie Pride, Mel Tillis, Vince etc. All great backup for a live show. Amazing. Loaded with superb musicians

As AUTHENTIC as the Country Music I've listened to for 68yrs now. As real as a homemade biscuit with farm homemade home churned "REAL" butter with farm raised and robbed beehives for the fresh honey on that buttered biscuit!! Yes Sir!!!

If I'm not mistaken - that's the great Harry Stinson on drums. He was the drummer on Mark O-Connor's "American Music Shop," and can do it all (play, sing, produce, arrange, etc.) - BESIDES having the best straight on 'time' it's ever been the pleasure of this bassist to hear. Lucky players to have such a solid foundation in the band . . .

This show gets better each week! Amazing talent that no other TV show even comes close. Marty's band is just too awesome. CFR band take note. Not meaning no disrespect to CFR. But honestly No 2 for country these days/ Superlatives take No 1 by country mile.

Might have been some sort of talent show, but when asked what he was or gonna be, he said, " I am going to be a country music star. And what a star he became. Again, thank you!!!

He's great at 73, you should have heard him in his 20's, and really not much difference.

Some really nice GW songs....." coast of texas" " the jukebox box played along" oh carmen" really nice. 🌺🎶🥰🇺🇲 this country sound is fabulous.

I like the cross on the wall. Lovely. 🎶🌺🥰 my own opinion.....something seems to have fallen out of country music today. Steel and fiddle. Sounds to much like pop music....and the endless tuneless " ballads". Just sayin'
