I don't know what you mean by your comment, but Marty was in a class of his own. He was also a fan of Eddy's, but I think if you asked anyone who knows anything about singers and singing most would place Marty above Eddy for the sheer beautiful, soulful voice he possessed.

To appreciate what both seniors do is what you need to do because Eddie Arnold he saying his time but his music is still beautiful idea I haven’t year for music and you have to respect what you hear I need to go because it’s just an opinion everybody has opinions to an hour like so different that we can see anything real negative put one over the other one because of our personal feelings because other people might think the other way around and then what do you have all you have is an opinion

This is in response and respectfully, to what "taquin45" said 10 months ago: It is impossible to really compare Eddy Arnold and Marty Robbins. For they were BOTH pioneers in "true" Country music WITH a "popular" approach. BOTH voices were as unique as it gets. Eddy made 70 million dollars over 25 yrs of hit records, when a million would easily equate to a billion today. Marty became loved by the world of music lovers of many genre's. But SO did Eddy. Yes, Marty loved Eddy AND he loved Eddy's Steel Guitar Player too, AKA: "Little Roy Wiggins". This is why Marty often had Roy on his records. Eddy did NOT feel that way about Roy or any other player. In this, Marty and Eddy were world's apart. To Eddy, Roy was a necessary evil. To Marty, Roy was an integral part of Eddy's tremendous success. I would HAVE to agree with Marty. But when it comes to singing, BOTH of them are truly amongst the best that have ever sang a song. For they BOTH were the "Bing Crosby's and Perry Como's" with a country flavor. I know of NO other country singers on earth that I could say that about them. But IF I was forced (by a gun at my head) to pick between Eddy and Marty, I would HAVE to say Eddy by only 1 microsecond better than Marty. Others will disagree. I respect that but I stand on it. For whatever it's worth.

pat dee with all due respect, Marty’s steel guitarist Jimmy Farmer was an incredible player on the same level with Eddy’s. I see why after he discontinued his playing with Marty why he recruited Eddy’s for his records but I do want to note that Marty’s originally was just as talented. And Marty and Eddy have such different styles. They are similar in a way with their voices but such different styles to me.
