This song was written after my beloved went to heaven in 2005. I post this on what used to be his birthday for his kids to here. It is so much him. Glad Martina did this song. Her voice is amazing.

i dedicate this song to my husband/soldier. he deploys in september for a year tour in Afghanistan. he is well known and many people love him. and i feel so lucky i get to call him mine. he is my everything and has been since highschool. not many people get to marry their highschool sweetheart. i am currently carrying his child and couldnt be more proud nor blessed. i love you so much Jeremy!!!

Martina received this song request last Saturday at Caesars Windsor, from a young couple. They are making it their wedding song in October. She asked her producer to run a copy of the lyrics from this song because she doesn't sing it much anymore. After some delay, she carried it off beautifully and the crowd loved it. Wonderful concert from a classy lady.

This is a true story. When I first started talking to my future wife. She lived in the Philippines. Well, we video chatted every day. I fell in love with her after a few months. So one day we were chatting when she asked. Do you know how couples will have pet names for each other? Like sweety or babe or sweetheart. I said yes. She said she wanted to call me Mine. Because she said. You are mine. I said wow. That was fine with me. So she did. About no more than a month later. this song came out. I could not believe it. I told her about this song & she was amazed. I think Martina McBride must have been listening to our conversations huh? LOL.

When I listen to this song I always remember the day I met the love of my life. His name is Caleb he has dwarfism and the funny thing is he has always been a family friend and I never knew that. I met him over the summer in the month of June when I went to summer leadership school for ROTC. At first it was crazy seeing a guy his size at a place like that, but then I thought again and remembered he's a human being to. He may be short, but he can do all the things we do just in his own special way, but he gets the job done. It was almost our last day at that place and we had went to camp minden to do an obstacle course. I watched him intensely as he did all the things we did I found it incredible. It was lunch time and we got put at a table together. He starred at me the whole time haha, but I liked it because I liked him. Our last day I went around getting people to put their names and numbers down on a piece of paper so I wouldn't lose contact with the friends I had made. He put his number down and the funny thing was out that whole list he was the only person I stayed in contact with. We talked like a week after that and on June 17th we started dating. We have been together almost 7 months now and he is the best thing that's ever happened to me. He always tells me he sure is glad he put his number on that paper. Hes been so different from any guy i have ever seen and he is so amazing. He keeps a smile on my face and has made my life so much better. I love him to death he treats me the way a girl should be treated he's a complete gentlemen and he would never do me wrong. He has such a warm and tender heart he could never be rude or hurt anyone. Honestly i do feel that everyone who sees him always wants to know him and everyone who knows him always has a smile and never has a dull moment. He has truly shined as bright as ever he has accomplished so many things for his stature and honestly people do simply call him amazing. I hope to call him "MINE" for the rest of my days.

This was such an odd comment. Why would a guy like Caleb want to be with someone who "remembered he's a human being too" (yes, I corrected your spelling) because, OMG, he "has dwarfism". Seriously, can there be any words more condescending than "He may be short, but he can do all the things we do just in his own special way". Steph, you sound completely repulsive. I honestly thought (and still think, to be honest) that this is a prank, satirical comment. But on the off-chance that it isn't, I am so glad I do not know you and never will.
