free money. free food of your choosing. £175 per week no strings attached to it (like universal credit has) into a debit card for your spending. knew clothes given free. free hotel rooms. no council tax or fuel bills to worry about, why wouldn't you want to be an illegal immigrant in 2022. its all laid on for you. Its a great life considering every one else will be suffering and struggling in the coming winter. they wont be struggling. they will be sitting pretty watching us freeze and starve to death.

I totally get your point, but they only get £75 per week each from the DWP, not £175, Tom. If it were up to me, the fcukers wouldn't get bugger-all.

@@Adam-kr7jf they are building high rises again in London they building so many but its just not enough accommodation for all the incomers. so many many of them. have you ever wondered why this is happening to this country? i watched something the other day and it made perfect sense to me after watching it. the people at the top in government are mainly not long is this country themselves compared to many generations of us where some families go back 100s of years. these people we have running the show are globalist. meaning they don't really believe in borders or something called illegal immigrants. in there own eyes anyone who wants to come here can do so. they don't see any problems with it even if you come by little boats or the back of a lorry its all good. they have the mind sets of real globalist they are not populist that want to take care of there own k country kind.

Oh dear you obviously don't understand how global warming works, it doesn't just cause heat waves that can lead to crop failures, it cause flooding, forest fires, more severe storms and increased wet weather generally in some countries. Our country may not be as severely affected although in England the lack of rain has killed some crops and set fire to an entire harvest

what I don't get is that 2 years ago i was paying 3p per kwh when wholesale gas prices were about 1.50 per kwh. I am now paying 6.93p when they are 5.43 p assuming I have read ofgem's graph correct so assuming my provide needs 1.5 to 2p on top of the huge increase in standing charge then an 80 percent rise will quadruple their profits. I can't get my head around how this is calculated

People need to start to look at alternative ways to heat their home, i.e., wood burners and possibly put some free-standing solar panels in their garden and hook up their own systems. It can be done. Then, if enough people go off grid, the utility companies will soon do a lot more. I assure you.

Lewis is wrong. Lewis is a panic monger. I signed up for a 2 year fixed term with British Gas in Oct 21. I have remained with them despite his advice to the contrary. My DD Is £40.90 per month for a large one bed flat. I have no complaints and will cheerfully trouser the money I’m getting from the government….£400 to my Gas account and £500 (up from £200 22/23) pensioner payment.

LIkewise here. I have just calculated my electric bill with Vat to the 22nd September and it is on target for £205. My gas which is on Direct Debit has come in at £35 for last 90 days. I dont have central heating. We have two lower ground floors where the lights on all day. Both at British Gas. We plan where where want to be warm.

I did exactly the same thing in September 2021. My DD is slightly more than yours but I don't use much energy. Its fixed till November next year so I think I got in just in time for these big rises. By the time November next year comes around, I be looking at alternative ways to heat and provide energy to my home.
