Can you please explain why non taekwondo practitioners hates taekwondo? I'm a 100% complete outsider to the martial arts world, my knowledge is very limited and it's something that I got an interest very lately after a long period of absolute hatred towards them, so I don't always understand why some of them get the reputation that they have, I kinda get the "hate" for aikido, but were does the taekwondo one comes from? Is it because of how it's thought, or because of the attitude of the practitioners, I have no idea honestly, so if you can explain, it would be great, thank you 😃

​​@@trippy_dragon8726he biggest flaw of competitive Taekwondo is it's lack of hand techniques and it's rules which forbid grabbing the opponent's leg. These make the practicality of (competitive) Taekwondo questionable in a similar way as Wing Chun and other styles with similar limitations. Meanwhile, Muay Thai and Sanda do allow leg grabbing which contributes to their effectiveness. However, practicing Taekwondo gives you really fast and powerful kicks which is a great asset for any fighter.

Oh to you I’m sure it was because you do karate. I’m more sure to the fact that you never set foot in a TKD school and understand it’s concepts and traditions. If it was karate as the punch line, you would be crying and pissed off.

Green Beast I thought it was a good joke. I have nothing against TKD. I have a lot of respect for people that do tkd because there foot work and kicks are amazing. Go on my KZread channel and watch my sparring edit. A lot of the strategys and techniques come from tkd. I used to do some sparring training with a WTF instruction.

But you have to admit, if someone bashed Muay thainor judo or whatever they lose their minds but it’s completely ok to bash TKD or Kung fu in their minds.... I’m trying to promote TKD on my channel. Green Beast That's true. I'm a traditional martial artist as well. We all cop it. So I believe we just have to laugh and not wast or energy on the haters.
