Pop it in the fridge for an hour before scoring (cutting) and it makes it so much easier.
Warm Baclava goes great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Lovely clear dem of making baklava. Thank you.
Martha,Thank you for recipe 💐🙏🏻 Baklava Origin and History Though the dessert is most often associated with Greek restaurants and delis, its exact origins can't be pinpointed to one particular country. Modern baklava may have been invented in Turkey during the Ottoman Empire, then modified in Greece.

Greetings from southcentral Texas USA 🇺🇸: Ms. Lovely 😊 Martha Stewart, thank you; again, Ms. Lovely 😊 Martha Stewart, thank you
Martha actually cooking
It's a really great dessert, but the syrup needs a little lemon juice and zest to break the sweetness. Ghee or clarified butter is best, otherwise you're left with little brown spots from the milk solids. One should also pour 1/2 a cup of melted ghee over the surface before baking, to make it extra crispy.
لك كل الاحترامات انا بحب طريقتك بكل شي لانه بشعر انه بصدق

Baklava, it's not a Greek dish , Traditional Turks Dessert !! Orijinal baklava , no cinnamon , no honey ! Only. Phyllo dough, walnut, Butter and sugar. That is it !!
I’m sorry but baklava it was originated in the Middle East not in Greek the original recipe they don’t put cinnamon they put Cardamom and each sheet use melted butter not olive oil, and no honey In the Syrup it’s Rosewater and it’s 2 cups of sugar 1 cup of water and And tablespoon of lemon that’s the original recipe Sorry Martha but this is exactly the original recipe.🤗

Its more of a turkish dessert than a greek dessert
I left eggs in the car and they were in 73 degrees and 6 hours. Do I throw them away?
Oven at 375F and we saw you added sugar in your walnuts. Now, 375 + sugar, how come your walnuts didn't burn?
Dear Martha this is not a Greek dish this is made by the Turks

That's not quite accurate. Baklava is made by many nations, not only Greeks or Turks, mainly by people who live in Balkan and middle East. In fact even your are claiming that it's your country's desert, I'm from Greece and I tell you that baklava is mainly made here in my country at Christmas, a Christian religious celebration.

Ok, I am from Greece and I stand that this dish is very popular in my country. Actually it's not that we just started to eat it, but our ancestors used to make it. Besides that, literally in each pastry shop in my country and you can buy baklava.
