The less spoken of Marten speakers are some of the best in the world!!!

That is a seriously clean presentation, great tone and decay. Must feel like your at a live concert

As a piano player, I will state: the answer is no. High clarity, low tonal accuracy - just the usual upper mid tilt that is irrationally popular at this price point.

Goosebumps galore . Just amazing sound.

This was one of the few really good sounding rooms. The Marten Septet is really good. It changed my perception of Marten.

I am used to Apogees and Martin Logan CLS (with subs) at home, and even from that perspective I was blown away by the clarity and soundstage from these speakers. The low end punch was not lacking either. I was literally sobbing away listening to my favorite tune of all time on these speakers. Had to wipe the floor afterwards. The speaker made me aware of details I have never before heard. Had I not been that lazy I would had got up and danced, 'cause the groove took me to were it was recorded. I that room in The Grand Hotel by the Lake Geneva shoreline.

Thanks for getting us into the sweet spot! Sounded amazing - great combination of natural and dynamic.

Sarah Barelies live in New York, Sittin’n at the dock of the bay showed very well what the speakers can do. Even through iPad and headphones the clarity, dynamics and depth can be estimated to be very strong traits. Would be nice to know what cables where used (Jorma?) Thanks Jay, good coverage. Your time spent speaking to designers and recording from sweet spot is appreciated.

Does it get any better ? Her voice, it’s range was unbelievable and clean.

WOW! It seems to soar , no strain , no limited dynamics , natural clear sound ! how was depth ?

Very realistic piano and voice. In the room presentation. Dynamics! Seamless! The amps must be pretty good, too. Maybe q new reference!

Not the best recording set-up to judge from but I'll agree for the voice and disagree for the piano.

These are the models with beryllium...gotta hear the smaller Orchestra or Quintet Mingus model or go higher to the Coltrane models to hear ceramic and diamond only. More natural.

Septet has diamond tweeter, beryllium high mid, ceramic low mid. I really think this combination is the way of the future. To my ears this is the best speaker in this category. And look forward to hear the driver combination in both bigger and smaller Marten speakers. Maybe with the big diamond between the high tweeter and the beryllium dome. Who knows?

@@mathiasjohannesson9833 sounds leas like Coltrane/Marten and more like all the other brands chasing neutral and sparkly sound. There's a magic to the warmth of Marten ceramics which beryllium takes away from.

@@mathiasjohannesson9833 i have not. Just rest of line up and most of the beryllium drivers out there. Yamaha has a pretty amazing Zylon/real beryllium driver and thats top notch but still sounds like metal to my ears.

the part when u hear the crowd whisling wow that says alot... i imagine being there is far more impressive then what my headset can let me hear. i also imagine they dissapear they probably very good a placing instruments.

Sara Barielles track was squeegee clean. Tight and fast bass from the hand drums os spectacular

These look amazing, how do they compare with the likes of Sonus Faber and Focal Utopias?

Is Marten possibly Jays Audiolab’s next speaker???

If they just put those speakers straight and not toe them in then they all can enjoy the sweet spot instead of only the middle spot.

Very lifelike and real sounding from the mids on up. The bass is good, but not as accomplished as the mids and up imo. Good speaker, good presentation. Nice. Price?

Has a bit of a nautical look. Like it could be on a giant yacht.

too glossy for your room with projector. but I guess you could just change that out for a big TV and would help a bit

The top reminds me of a toilet seat

Bass not so clear or well defined, maybe the room and iPhone, yes a bit boomy in the lower register, needs cleaning up
