Mars is the type of player that you get pissed off at bc you barely can get a hit in. (specifically the first set) He is a very entertaining ZSS to watch though.

Yea man anyone meeting marss needs to play extremely well it’s bracket luck but you end up facing marss Leo or tweek or any other top 10 player and you have to be prepared

Zero_OR 5 I can concur. Luigi player here that got knocked out of bracket by a ZSS yesterday. And it wasn’t even their main. He just knew how to counter pick.

Campy zss shuts down Luigi, but the way marss was playing gave elegant a much greater chance

Buff Luigi's recovery, air speed and make his zair grab ledges, then Luigi will be high tier.

I personally would like to see a Luigi with a good recovery. This linear recovery is so exploitable, you would think he was little Mac.

Mars is such a good player, but damn is ZSS bullshit.

Marss out here making elegant look like a scrub.

It looks like this is the end of Elegant. Luigi doesn't seem able to compete in the highest level of gameplay. And I really don't think Elegant will pick any secundaries seriously. This was really rough to watch :(

He never uses anything other than Luigi in majors. "Luigi is certainly competitively viable". You really can't say that though. You literally have 0 evidence to back that up. No Luigi so far has proven that, in fact the best Luigi in the world is getting consistentely destroyed. "Elegant just gets predictable with his overuse of down b imo". I agree with you here. Too much down-b for sure. I think it's just a sign of frustration. But that's clearly not the only thing keeping him away from doing good, the problem is way bigger than that and I think you will acknowledge that.

@@martinluther123 You're right, I don't have anything to back up my assertion of viability except for his good frame data, combo game and OoS/read game. Like Shulk and Nicko, it's a bit theoretical, but if Elegant can minimize his bad habits (I think) he could bring a lot more out of Luigi.

@@vecvecvec yeah, that is indeed theoretical. Theory is not evidence though. In theory every character is tournament viable, you can make whatever case you want for any character... But if you want evidence you need results, that's the only thing that can validate the theory. Until then it's just a theory. And hey, I'm not saying Luigi is not tournament viable, I'm just saying that so far it doesn't look like it. For a while Elegant was doing better but that upward trajectory seems to be over.

@@martinluther123 Of course. Theory is a little, but not quite enough, since play style and mind games add a lot to the mix. Based on my educated guess I'd say Luigi is quite viable! Since you can't disprove his viability (which can be done in theory with characters such as Little Mac and partially Jigglypuff) we'll just have to see what happens from here. Also I think it's funny that a greek philosopher is having a discussion about smash with a homestuck troll in crocs
