I love hearing these types of stories. Financial health is so important and most young folks don't think about it much. Marshawn's humility and drive is inspiring. I hope a lot of young folks learn from him and don't end up as another pro athlete that went bankrupt after retiring.

He a raw dynamic athlete with heart of a champion. Thank you for clearing up that 2nd superbowl lost. It was the most disturbing event of all time. That was like Usain Bolt 5m from the finish line to win and stop. It didn't make sense. Thank you Shannon only you could have brought that conversation out of Marshawn Peace.

To inspire others to do the same, l started bragging to friends and relatives that l had money saved for emergencies. Instead of them seeing saving money as a way to improve their lives, they saw me as a place to get money when they had a problem with their lives of living paycheck to paycheck. That’s when l knew l had to leave those types of people, so l left for the military. In the military l decided to create of cushion of five thousand dollars from being broke as a way of avoiding financial hardships. The cushion is now a lot higher than that, but l wish more people would create a way to avoid financial problems, instead of digging holes they won’t be able to dig themselves out of in their lifetimes.
