They Need Way Better Customer Service. STAY AWAY. Go Spider Farm, less issues communication is better.

If you were going to buy 5 you should check out Amare Technology Bar 8 which is a superior light, although the THIS Mars looks good

Ive got 4 sp250s over a 5x10 space and they cover canopy extremely well. I'm excited to try this version since it's got Samsung diodes!!

Good par readings. Although I’m not a big fan of Mars Hydro but there definitely stepping up there game.

Mars Hydro changing the game with this light, looks like a better choice than the new MIGRO ARAY 240W. A test in a 2x4 will be greatly appreciated

I was able to get my sp 3000 as close as 12 inch away from the tops off my plants on my last flower run.

Edges at near 700 is crushing it. Running 4 in a 5x10 with near 100% coverage currently. Upgrading a bit to achieve a little better light penetration but these lights are well worth the money 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻

I know this is an older video with the uv/ir diodes in the sp3000. If possible a side by side grow with and without the uv/ir diodes would be awesome as mars hydro discontinued the uv/ir in the sp3000. Not sure if it's a downgrade removing these diodes. Great video and thank you much! Cheers!

1.43 grams per watt on the sp250s. 1.6- 1.9 + I would assume for these

maybe measure temp on the face of the led's .... ????

I got 2 tsl 2000's I almost went with the sp 3000 instead. And got 2 of them. My par test for those two lights wasnt too far off of that. I'm happy with my purchase but those look cool and save some space. I want to get the fc 4800 for my 4×4, I think that sounds perfect for my flowering tent. But maybe the 2 tsl 2000 have more light, but maybe DC 4800 has better light. I wish someone talked about the difference in the lights. And the benefit of having one single light compared to 2, 2×4 lights for a 4×4. If an fc 4800 is brighter than two 2000 because I believe one 4800 costs more than 2, 2000. I'm rambling now sorry.

It's great they made new upgraded sp3000 with Samsung and osram diodes but they discontinued sp250. Only went from 230w to 290w. But price jumped from $280 to $400. Now I can no longer afford to buy mars hydro led lights or, can afford high end led brand for only a little bit more. Can we please bring back the sp250 at old price point. I was gonna buy four more😩

Would 2 in a 4x4 need its own ac to cool it or would a good enough exhaust fan do well enough? Im trying to find the best light without extra cooling. Thanks

The air coming into the environment will be a factor. If you are pulling in air that is at or below 70F then there's a chance you won't need any additional cooling. If the air going into your tent is 75F or above well then that might not be cool enough.

Man that's a tough question. One thing that may help you is if you look at the watts. The more watts, the more heat. So you may want to go with a lower-wattage grow light that covers a 4x4 if heat is a concern for you. But to be honest, you'll most likely need cooling regardless when growing in the summer time. Winter time you should be able to get away without an AC.

Remember, this light comes with a 6ft cord that allows the driver to be placed outside the tent. It is mentioned in the video on the mars-hydro.com site and in their video on here. I ordered two for my 4X8, the 2X5 coverage per light stated is very strong so I'm hoping two will cover about 4X6 of my tent and I'll have some room for the extras. CAN'T WAIT. For 600W I'm expecting the yield to be great.

I got an SP 3000 and it only drew 269 watts from the wall so I got a replacement from Jeff Bezos and I am happy with the 290 watts it draws. I am very happy with the new light. I went with Jeff as I ordered directly from Mars Hydro but the customer service is a joke so I canceled the order.

They have a amps and watts screw under the driver I had to turn up my ones amps to get it to 295watt from 240v.

I just purchased the TS 3000 a few days ago, but now I’m starting to rethink to return the TS and buy two SPs. If you were in my shoes what would you do?

Please don't worry about the heat problem, the heat generated by led grow light can be ignored.

I'm having burnt pistol hairs on my girls at week 5. Not everywhere but on a couple bud sites. Its not the light though because it's not my top colas. There has been no males, no bugs, nothing I can think of wrong. Ph is good I did over feed a little over a week ago but that was my only problem. Please help. Also it seemed to get worst as the soil got dry, is nutrient toxiesty worst for your planta in dry soil?

SP3000 because it distributes the light across the grow space more evenly. But both lights are good. I may be running the SF2000 in an upcoming grow.

For that price they could at least tell us what diodes and what driver. Its not there on any of the adds.

This review is outdated. Mars Hydro changed the SP line in March 2022 by removing UV and IR and replaced them with standard diodes. They have not changed their spectrum map or PPFD chart and refuse to rebrand with a different model #.

@WAGNER SCOTT If you look at light producers websites they all state the wattage of their lights, it determines coverage. If you look at the ppfd of the Mars it is 2.8 umol/j where as the chilled comes in at 3.26 μmole/J. 2 sp 3000 are the same price as the chilled 600w, look at chilled and what you get. Way better build quality, way better service and more ppfd. I do pay attention but, i also do my research.
