Healing is key. Becoming whole from the inside out is key. Learning to love God and ourselves is the greatest love of all. The Bible says: Love your neighbor as yourself.". Only then can we love others. Our obedience to God in a relationship and life is key. Marriage is between a man and a woman only, God's way. There is an online course called TOU which stands for The One University which is worth looking into. May God continue to bless u.

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. It seems like it's impossible for men and women to emotionally connect with each other. Men and women's brains are wired too differently from each other. Women are more hardwired to be social than men are.

Wow. When Kirk said “Marriage was never second nature for me. Work was second nature. I fell into family,” I felt this on my SOUL. Wow. I’m the one in the marriage that has a million things going on at any one time because, as he said, “ideation is in my DNA.” Marriage is work for me because I didn’t have a model for it growing up, whereas my husband did. Phew. So good.

I’ve been married for 6 yrs now and even though I have decent amount of people in my family who have been married for 20 plus years, they never would sit down with myself and my cousins and just talk to us openly as a couple. I’ve seen them angry and talking down about one another but never as a united front. So as a wife now I’ve been working and fighting alongside my husband to make sure we do it the right way, and it’s so refreshing to be able to watch a conversation like this that is full of so much love laughter and wisdom between husbands wives who are doing the work and showing up as a united front.

It's so easy to get caught up in the fantasy and romance of it all when you haven't experienced it yet, so I'm always telling my married friends not to give me the churchy, Christianese packaged version but keep it real, raw with mud, dirt and worms! 😄

This was so good…

This conversation was too good for words. The chemistry between the hosts Kev & Liss and the guests Kirk & Tammy is crazy. It didn't feel "interviewy" at all but a good conversation between old friends. The way they relate to each other with similar great life & marriage experiences that bring out wisdom. This was so beautiful guys. I've always loved Tammy but in this conversation I LOVEDDDDDD her. Liss found her twin she was like "this is me" so cute. Well done, looking forward to more conversations.

I love that she acknowledged that people are obsessed with how LONG someone has been married but they don’t take the time to actually THINK for themselves about whether the marriage is healthy or not. I think people believe lies about marriage and one is that length of marriage somehow guarantees health. People really need to start thinking for themselves for once. Sounds harsh but peoples u willingness to question what they’ve been taught is leading to their failure and them also teaching others terrible concepts that aren’t actually helpful.

When I say Mrs. Tammy is an entire force to be reckoned with!! I love her quick wit, intelligence, and realness and Uncle Kirk’s great wisdom, emotional intelligence, and comfortability in her flourishing. And Kev and Melissa, always so generous, genuine, and insightful with us. I pray their reward is even more than the priceless chemistry and relationship being cultivated between them and the Franklins😊

Oooh when Tammy spoke about getting into the psyche and emotion of a man and learning his ways but not getting it in return. Ugh that hit home. That has always been my problem in my past relationships and dating and I’ve always assumed it was me simply picking the wrong men but to know that it can still be an obstacle to work through even in a marriage is really eye opening. This is so good and I’m definitely going to continue to watch more episodes and I’m buying the audiobook. ❤️

Sooo amazing to see/hear how marriage sanctifies and keeps people safe! How God puts 2 people together as a circuit breaker for when possibly sinful traits are getting too much - e.g. selfishness, or tuning out others' feelings/thoughts. You always have to come back to your wife when work is over - and exercise that muscle of selflessness that got weak in the workplace!!!

I loved how Kirk kept redirecting to a God centered view and when he spoke about his vision in worship about how he sees people arriving at the gate to meet Jesus was just beautiful and so true. We don’t arrive perfect we get there because of the endurance of what we have been through and through Him we are made perfect on that day. This interview was was excellent.

I'm thrilled that so many married church folks are talking about marriage in this very REAL way. We have to shatter the fairytale! I don't have the energy to go into the details, but I want to say that even though marriage is not in my future, this was deeply healing to me in a number of ways. Our God is so gracious.

This conversation was EVERYTHING!!! The transparency and vulnerability that all of displayed has given me a new perspective on marriage. I think if I heard these things before I probably wouldn’t be divorced..God’s peace and blessings to all of you.

Love. Love this! Love the intention, honesty. My husband and I have been married 31 yrs and wish we had this when we were going thru. The help its going to give newly married couples will be great if they listen and take the advice. As a "Christian " and going to couples retreats was never like this and the truth was never told! The older couples thar were married 45-50 yrs only told you don't give up when it gets hard, pray and you'll make it thru. So keep up the good work and open and honest conversation! Blessed

I agree with the living LEGEND about IG. People will always show you what they want you to see🤷🏾‍♀️ We’ve all seen the “perfect” couple later coming out and saying “he did this” or “she did this”

The teachings, laughs and moments of love through your own personal stories & the lives of your guests are such a treasure and I can’t wait to read your book. This has been my favorite episode so far ❤️
