Healing is key. Becoming whole from the inside out is key. Learning to love God and ourselves is the greatest love of all. The Bible says: Love your neighbor as yourself.". Only then can we love others. Our obedience to God in a relationship and life is key. Marriage is between a man and a woman only, God's way. There is an online course called TOU which stands for The One University which is worth looking into. May God continue to bless u.

I have a question. How do males and females bond with each other? I don't see how men and women can bond (especially romantically) with each other. Men and women think very differently from each other. It seems like it's impossible for men and women to emotionally connect with each other. Men and women's brains are wired too differently from each other. Women are more hardwired to be social than men are.
This was amazing! I feel like I just went to a comedy club, church and a marriage counselor! 😮😊

Wow. When Kirk said “Marriage was never second nature for me. Work was second nature. I fell into family,” I felt this on my SOUL. Wow. I’m the one in the marriage that has a million things going on at any one time because, as he said, “ideation is in my DNA.” Marriage is work for me because I didn’t have a model for it growing up, whereas my husband did. Phew. So good.

I love what you said because this truly was powerful.
I’ve been married for 6 yrs now and even though I have decent amount of people in my family who have been married for 20 plus years, they never would sit down with myself and my cousins and just talk to us openly as a couple. I’ve seen them angry and talking down about one another but never as a united front. So as a wife now I’ve been working and fighting alongside my husband to make sure we do it the right way, and it’s so refreshing to be able to watch a conversation like this that is full of so much love laughter and wisdom between husbands wives who are doing the work and showing up as a united front.
It’s crazy how much this conversation has mirrored so many of the early Love Hour conversations! You all are so similar! Beautiful couples & a beautiful conversation!

Listennn...as a single woman still affirming at 46 that I am a wife and a mother, I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation and look forward to watching the others. It's so easy to get caught up in the fantasy and romance of it all when you haven't experienced it yet, so I'm always telling my married friends not to give me the churchy, Christianese packaged version but keep it real, raw with mud, dirt and worms! 😄

My friends were always saying ",You don't want to get married" I thought YOU did. I never understood that...I saw some good to be being married and I thought they would too since they were married 😌
Y'all have definitely found your niche this is going to be a hit. I'm excited to hear all the interviews you guys have lined up.
Kirk Franklin is a wise man. I love his transparency and honesty. Kirk was spot on, people look at how long people are together and not the health of their relationship. GEMS💎💎💎❤️
This convo feels like marriage… the feminine and masculine perspective the laughs the seriousness it’s the building of one another service to one another that gets you through, marriage is beautiful it’s crazy how we live in different spaces different years of marriage but have many of the same struggles I am not a star but I function in the same manor. This was so good…
This was NEEDED! As a single woman it was sobering, inspirational, exciting, encouraging. It was ALL THE THINGS! I needed this! I loved this! It made being Christian a lighter space, it made waiting for marriage a more joyous place, and it made the goal of marriage realistic as opposed to a fairy tale. Thank y'all so much for this! I CAN NOT WAIT for the book!

This was…..wow!!!!!! It’s up there with the Tab & Chance Love Hour podcast interview. Top 3 couple interviews for sure!!! The parallels between y’all, the transparency, the inspiration, THE BEAUTY!!! 😍😍😍 Allllll the thiiiiiiings!!!! I thought I would multitask while listening, but this was mesmerizing. I love the vulnerability. Christians can be so uptight it's crazy. Love this!
When Kev said “danger , she smashed the homie”. . . Memories of my childhood and the Love of Ray J popped in my mind 😂😂😂
as a single woman this has been very insightful probably one of the best podcast eps that ive heard in while WELL DONE BOTH COUPLES
Okay but I want a whole show/series of you and the Franklins talking about the book. More. I need a 6-part series.
This conversation was too good for words. The chemistry between the hosts Kev & Liss and the guests Kirk & Tammy is crazy. It didn't feel "interviewy" at all but a good conversation between old friends. The way they relate to each other with similar great life & marriage experiences that bring out wisdom. This was so beautiful guys. I've always loved Tammy but in this conversation I LOVEDDDDDD her. Liss found her twin she was like "this is me" so cute. Well done, looking forward to more conversations.
I love that she acknowledged that people are obsessed with how LONG someone has been married but they don’t take the time to actually THINK for themselves about whether the marriage is healthy or not. I think people believe lies about marriage and one is that length of marriage somehow guarantees health. People really need to start thinking for themselves for once. Sounds harsh but peoples u willingness to question what they’ve been taught is leading to their failure and them also teaching others terrible concepts that aren’t actually helpful.
When I say Mrs. Tammy is an entire force to be reckoned with!! I love her quick wit, intelligence, and realness and Uncle Kirk’s great wisdom, emotional intelligence, and comfortability in her flourishing. And Kev and Melissa, always so generous, genuine, and insightful with us. I pray their reward is even more than the priceless chemistry and relationship being cultivated between them and the Franklins😊
Immediately followed Tammy after this interview. I’m ecstatic she found her voice.
Oooh when Tammy spoke about getting into the psyche and emotion of a man and learning his ways but not getting it in return. Ugh that hit home. That has always been my problem in my past relationships and dating and I’ve always assumed it was me simply picking the wrong men but to know that it can still be an obstacle to work through even in a marriage is really eye opening. This is so good and I’m definitely going to continue to watch more episodes and I’m buying the audiobook. ❤️

This was the most real faith based marriage conversation I have ever seen! This was absolutely amazing!! This is MINISTRY!!! Kudos!!!!
Sooo amazing to see/hear how marriage sanctifies and keeps people safe! How God puts 2 people together as a circuit breaker for when possibly sinful traits are getting too much - e.g. selfishness, or tuning out others' feelings/thoughts. You always have to come back to your wife when work is over - and exercise that muscle of selflessness that got weak in the workplace!!!

OMG I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS CONVERSATION! I don’t know why at 49 yrs of age and still single, God is drawing me to these marriage podcasts. I absolutely love you guys! My single self will be buying the book tuday!

I made it for the premiere, but we still REWATCH GANG GANG out here!!
This was sooooooo goooood! The way in which Kirk and Tammy allowed each the other the space to talk and listened. I loved how Kirk kept redirecting to a God centered view and when he spoke about his vision in worship about how he sees people arriving at the gate to meet Jesus was just beautiful and so true. We don’t arrive perfect we get there because of the endurance of what we have been through and through Him we are made perfect on that day. This interview was was excellent.
Although I am single, I am soo grateful for this series. In all thy getting, get understanding. I appreciate the transparency, vulnerability, and humor expressed by both couples. Tfs

I was just thinking as a single woman of the slightly more seasoned variety (43), this is blessing me!
I told the church when I 1st was baptized that Being a Christian is hard...preach!
This conversation is a GAME CHANGER!! First of all, Kirk and Tammy, THANK YOU for being so real (down to the cussin' cuz that's real)! I'm thrilled that so many married church folks are talking about marriage in this very REAL way. We have to shatter the fairytale! There's an idea that marriage is no longer relevant or desired but there are many of us out here who still desire marriage and NEED these kinds of real conversations! I can't thank you all enough.
My husband and I just finished watching this after tears of constant laughter. I married him at 21 and it's been 18 years and we truly enjoyed listening to all of you. We can relate on ALL of this. Thanks for being so transparent. That's my favorite part.
This interview was absolute gold. I was interested all the way thru. I smiled, I laughed, I eared teared up, I agreed; it was a gamut of emotions. A well of knowledge that overflowed. This was excellence.
I am in tears because of the humor, the honesty and transparency, the gems being dropped and the experiences.
The uncomfortable looks on the guys faces are priceless. Lol!!
This interview was soooo good. I kept pausing to go share the discussion with my husband throughout the whole show.
The Frederickses and The Franklins. Fr Fr. 🫶🏾🫶🏾 Great talk!
These conversations are so needed. As a single woman, I listened to help prepare me for my marriage. Thank you!
I swear this is a moment of deliverance for so so many of us. Especially black people who have never seen married people in Christ, who are honest and transparent. We’ve seen the divorces, the adultery, the resentment and also the Instagram pics but never REAL people who are still in the ring. So grateful for this episode. God bless these two unions.
You’re doing great work for the black community including for those of us in the diaspora.
Wives tend to view Husband on Stage how Husbands view Wife on the Pole: it pays the bills but it requires sharing a portion of the person the spouse doesn’t want to share
This episode is sooopp GOOD!! 😆🤣🤣🤣 “where DA LOTION AT!???!!!!” Kirk is a whole mess!!!! And love how they’re just being transparent and real. And not being fake!
OMG!! This is one of the best interviews I have seen you all do. And to think, I didn’t think y’all could top the Tab & Chance interview. I never knew much about Tammy, but I love her now!

My thoughts and feels exactly. 🙏🏾
Melissa is a gem! ❤️ Loved Tammy and Kirk Franklin. Positive, uplifting, good heart. Thank you so much .
OH MY GOD!!! This soooo sounds like my marriage. We are at 22 years and MARRIAGE IS HARD!!!! I tell people all the time, it's easy to say I want to get married, but are you a person who will work or a person who quit and give up all the time, because marriage is work, grass is not greener on this side. AMEN! I LOVE THIS MESSAGE!!!! I RECEIVE EVERYTHING YOU ALLL HAD TO SAY. YES I AM SCREAM, BECAUSE THIS HIT MY SOUL!!
Loved this conversation! My husband and I have been married for 25 years. I so appreciate you sharing the evolution that happens in marriage.
Liss: I am married to a kite. I am perpetually the string. The conversation about the broken off switch and selfishness resonated with me in ways I cannot put into words. (16 years in the game)
I don't have the energy to go into the details, but I want to say that even though marriage is not in my future, this was deeply healing to me in a number of ways. Our God is so gracious.
I still aspire to be married and your podcasts and book has really helped me and it has helped me communicate better in my new relationship
This conversation was EVERYTHING!!! The transparency and vulnerability that all of displayed has given me a new perspective on marriage. I think if I heard these things before I probably wouldn’t be divorced..God’s peace and blessings to all of you.
"Real Alpha Males Don't Usually have to announce That They Are Alpha Males"~~~ C'mon in here Melissa with this Word 📖📖📖 On Todayyye! 👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾😏
This was so NECESSARY! I loved every moment every word and every laugh. This is INCLUSIVITY at its finest!
Love. Love this! Love the intention, honesty. My husband and I have been married 31 yrs and wish we had this when we were going thru. The help its going to give newly married couples will be great if they listen and take the advice. As a "Christian " and going to couples retreats was never like this and the truth was never told! The older couples thar were married 45-50 yrs only told you don't give up when it gets hard, pray and you'll make it thru. So keep up the good work and open and honest conversation! Blessed
"It's not hard...I just have words....I have words for feelings that I say on 20yeats ago"......YEAH! That's it right there!
I agree with the living LEGEND about IG. People will always show you what they want you to see🤷🏾♀️ We’ve all seen the “perfect” couple later coming out and saying “he did this” or “she did this”
Loved this! The Franklins can write a book on seasons of marriage.
Wow…my husband says the same thing about giving me everything God forbid we separate. In my eyes, he’s Superman & always has been! ❤️
I'm not married and I enjoyed this conversation. Real talk
I’m just binge watching all of these episodes during a free day off and I want to say thank you so so so so much for these conversations.
