I can't not like Marq after watching this. Love him!
BulletBoys debut album was one of the best albums of the late 80's...10 great songs that still hold wait today...Rock on! 😉✌🤟🤘🎸 🥁🎤
Bulletboys were great! Freakshow was severely underrated. And of the 80's singers, his voice has held up a HELL of a lot better than most all of them!

Marq and Stephen Pearcy have one of a kind voices.
Good interview. I remember him being a fixture here in the San Gabriel Valley party scene. He was such a young badass & ahead of everyone else musically as a teen. Seen him tear it up at the Starwood as a 3 piece, Marq as vocalist & guitarist, all eyes on him. Then to see him in Ratt & just move on & then to be in Tower Records shopping & see Marq on the back of a King Kobra live album, unreal. Then the BulletBoys on TV. Good Times

Remember him fronting his band, Torien. His vocal style was different because he was spot on singing Journey.
Super happy that you managed to get an interview with Marq - your interviews are without a doubt the best, they have the best formats, you’re a great speaker too and very respectful. Huge respect to Marq, I love the Bulletboys, I love RATT, so for me this interview is absolute magic. I watched it with a smile on my face, and love hearing Marq speak and share his life experiences. I saw Marq live about 5 years ago, and I wished I had approached him for an autograph. He is a super singer, and entertainer. It’s unreal how entertaining Marq is. Great that he is able to still bring the complete package to his live shows. Amazing, super, excellent - love Bulletboys and RATT 👌🏼👍🏼
Marq Torien is such a classic act. His Bullet Boys of 1988 introduced me to my love for hard rock and roll. Great interview. Thanks so much.
Marq is an amazing singer love this dudes voice! ❤👍🤠
Love the BULLETBOYS their music is always a great treat to hear and remember all the great times...you ROCK MARQ😝😝😝
He's such a great singer and frontman, pretty darn good guitarist too. Hard not to like Marq. I truly believe he thinks of his fans as family.
I have met Marq three times, twice in Memphis, and he has Always been kind, down to earth, and carries on great conversation. The dude has never lost any of his voice. He was great to hang out with.

Marq is a legend. The current Bulletboys lineup is amazing.
Marq has a ultra power voice. I'm simply amazed when I hear for the love of money. Amazing talent and cool guy.
Marq is the man. I have been a Bullet Boys fan since the beginning. I wish them continued success. Can't wait for the new album.
I saw "bulletboys" and It made me subscribe! This is my neighborhood! I'm 53 , I grew up on this stuff!
I saw BulletBoys play hammerjacks in Baltimore and they were on fire 🔥
It would be really interesting if somehow all the guitar players who tried out for Ozzy could be identified. Same with Kiss. Great show Jason!
Geez, skater, tennis, guitarist. All my jam in the 80s too. Respect!
Great interview - Marq - what a great guy man. really cool to hear what you have to say... Best of everything moving forward for you!
Marq is such a positive upbeat person. Very cool guy.
Great interview again Jason, Marq has an interesting musical history before the Bulletboys. Absolutely killer debut they dropped and I had the pleasure of meeting them in 1989 on their debut UK tour in Nottingham and Manchester. We walked around Nottingham a little bit with them, totally in awe at their humble/down to earth attitude. Great gigs, and what a frontman, which is hard to believe he kind of reluctantly fell into dropping the guitar.

Great interview. Nice guy. We opened up for them in the early 90’s. Love the album From out of the Sky. Keep it going marq. Thanks guys!🤘
Another awesome video Jason. Cool photo with the band! I'd say that was 1991 also since that's how they looked during the Freakshow era. People can say what they want about Marq, but everything I've seen about him has shown that he is one of the hardest working people in this business and extremely loyal to the BulletBoys brand. He's got a storied past which makes him an important part of the Los Angeles rock scene of the last four decades.
Fantastic interview Jason! I've been a fan of the band since the first album. Marq has always been a class act, and seems like a truly genuine person. I was really bummed out when the original band reunion didn't happen... although I did watch the live online show that they did, and thoroughly enjoyed it! The current lineup is definitely a solid band. I hope to be able to see them in the future, and always looking forward to new music!
awesome interview...... I like his term… Chemical refreshments😂😂
Best content yet. Love it.
Gotta say, so many GREAT Bulletboy memories.
You hear the band stories about marq as someone who is maybe arrogant and maybe not the easiest to work with.. Though Every time he does an interview he's very genuine... Never says anything bad about anybody... Always respectful and always seems appreciative... When you see this, it's hard not to like him. Great interview Jason!

Another Killer Interview, Jason🤘
Waay back in the day, between Dave and Sammy, I actually wrote a letter to Warner Brothers Records, telling them that Marq should be the new Van Halen lead singer. When I saw Bullet Boys the first time, and all the kicks and theatrics Marq did, I was convinced he could fit the bill. I still wonder........
What a lovely human being. Great interview both of you.
Marq seems to be absolutely Salt of the Earth.X
One of the greatest singers!
It's rare that you see a singer so gracious, pleasant, and be an all-around nice guy! Was the real Marq abducted by aliens?

His song 'Rollover" from a few years ago is awesome! Up there with the best of them!
Marq Torien's singing on the studio track of "Smooth Up In Ya" is one of the best singing I've ever heard. It's comparable to any legendary famous singer, male or female.

This interview really inspires me to pick up the Guitar again n really get back to my skill. Side note. I never knew Marq played guitar until I researched the 22’ tour… anyway I really enjoyed the show in Tampa this year. I hope they come back.

TY for the interview! I've always wanted to know if he went to college and his name. Disappointed he didn't say his birth last name. Saw him in SWFL 2023 and wanted to meet him but it wasn't in the stars so this is a good substitute
Great singer/guitar player -- and he seems like a real cool dude.

I really like the vocals he did on the Love/Hate Living off Layla album. Kind of a strange situation to do half of the record, but there’s some pretty cool, not so typical tunes on it. Hard to find.
Smooth interview!
Great interview Jay, Marq seems very cool but I've heard a few things one of them from Phil Varone ....lol. Earl BB was some incredible hard Rock music and though bald as a babie's arse I still enjoy some of their tunes at my rip old age lol!
Would've liked to hear the story from his point of view behind the "stage fight with Pretty Boy Floyd" video on YT...
Wow I'm a tad tripped up on your comment on Marc's being a Mexican liking punk back in the 70s (my cousin went to highschool with him). People are naive about these already integrated or blended families the "other valley" had. So happy for Marc. MON
Thanks Jason!
I have no idea where I got the impression that Marq was an a-hole, but boy was I wrong. Seems like a great guy and such a talent. Thanks for this interview Jason.
Chilean! I always wondered what ethnicity / race he was. Love bullet boys!! :)
I am just seeing this interview.I had the pleasure of seeing Ratt open for Motley Crue that had just got signed by Elektra records at the Reseda Country Club invited by Brian Slagel. Marg was a awesome guitar player at the time very influenced by Eddie Van Halen. It was right after the Ozzy audition. Marq’s touch on the fingerboard influenced me quite a bit. I met him at another Ratt show at the Troubadour and he was very nice. I followed his career so I am confused with the time line because his Motown era was after? If anyone else can clarify that with me I would appreciate it.
