Love Marneus! He’s an absolute beast in a creature/ad naus filled format.

Not the most powerful esper option but over time he'll get stronger!

Hey Mons, nice deck tech! Marneus just got 3 new cards from the LOTR set that make it much stronger: Lotho, Orcish Bowmasters, and The Watcher in the Water (1 card draw your deck combo). It might be a lot more competitively viable now

The watcher in the water and Marneus are both non may effects, so be warned you'll deck yourself

@@Frostman1255 Definitely, but you can just run Snapback or Deadly Rollick to remove your own commander. However after thinking about the combo more I don't think its worth running anyways, too many things have to go right for it to work.

My version really capitalized on the token aspect because that’s what makes him good, the card draw. Everytime I see a list of him there’s like 3 token generators and regular esper stuff and in that case you’re better just running tivit or zur

Raffine is an Esper commander that is secretly getting better by the set. It may be cute but she could even play Tivit/Sieve in the 99 and change 0 things about her core gameplan

Double strike is also really nice with Grim Hireling. God I love grim hireling

No offense, is it just me, or is your audio super low compared to your other videos??? I have to crank my volume up to max and even then its kinda low/hard to hear

I feel Power Artifact + Grim Monolith is a better choice over Hullbreaker Horror. Any reason why you went with HH instead? Or did it just slip your mind during brewing?

With the high amount of mana rocks that works with HH it is more like a 1 card wincon. If you have 1 tutor in hand and A LOT of mana. Then you can win. You need 2 tutors to win with power artifact and grim monolit. I just like one card wincons more.

@@cedhtv fair enough, this also answers a similar question with Rings of Brighthearth instead. But I think that one (tho slightly more mana intensive) can be more viable than my aforementioned Power Artifact, and almost as viable as HH & Dramatic Scepter considering Blues vast abundance of Artifact Tutors that you’d probably be running anyway on top of the Black & White tutors. Idk I’m probably gonna at least give 1 of them a try

Hullbreaker horror is just a better card in general making it more desirable than PA. I tried some intuition lines with PA+ grim combo as well as isorev. And it's just so much better when you're drawing/topdecki g better cards instead of super dead combo pieces.

we replace lands with mana rocks like mana crypts mox diamond and such.

*Ima year late and a little confused... if Marneus is on the battlefield and i make 7 tokens do i draw 7 card's..*

I'm not sure that Black market connection works the way you think.... Once you choose the mode, BMC create both tokens at the same time, triggering Marneus only once, not twice

@@koreyg8552 sadly no, the création f the tokens are part of the resolution of the mode you chosen, so they all enter at the same time for Marneus to see

@@Peterphonetube yeah that works, unfortunately both of those cards are super dead cards outside that combo which is why a lot of players aren't on it. Some are even moving away from isorev now too. Of course Marneus isnt completely solved so i would say try it out! Chivalric alliance also works with ashnods altar

You could do trading ground with ashnod s alter for a infinite, but trading grounds by itself is ass

Yeah with obm you would need a sac outlet to keep killing the orc token it doesn't ping the last orc to kill it then create another token. Still a great card in the deck though

For black market connections you only draw 2 cards from its triggers. Not aure if you meant 3 as in 1 for turn then 2 off BMC or just 3 from BMC

Im pretty sure you draw 3 cards - 1 from “buy information” - 1 from marneus from the treasure - 1 from marneus from the 3/2

Your audio output is too quiet. Youre in full volume and i can barley hear you.

To be honest my audio is healty. Most youtube and the most normal audio you have in the world is too loud for people. But I can turn it back to normal.
