Damn good looking Marmon!!! My dad worked for a company that only used cab over Marmons. I’m guessing back in ‘84, they flew him to their factory to pick up his new truck. Great to see yours looking so great!!👍🏻👍🏻

Beautiful truck you don't see Marmons to often my uncle used to drive a long nose with a condo sleeper when i was a kid. I remember he would pick my and my sister up and bring us down south when he did a Ohio run and crossed over to NY. Coming down Fancy Gap was a great time back in the day and he used to have the Jake's singing with a load of shopping carts in the wagon.

Help me out on this one, if you could... The Sanders were used to drop sand in front of the drive wheels in winter time when your truck would occasionally loose traction on the ice when leaving a dock or taking off on a slippery road , is that pretty much the jist of it..?? Not ALL trucks had them, some put lots of chains on bars that were off the frame to give them more weight in the drive tire area. Nice truck this guy has, wish they would have a truck show HERE in Green Bay, Wi. at Lambeau Field or something. They are ALWAYS a sight to see!!!😳 😲🥰💘

@@davidg.schlorf766 The sanders were an expensive option. Chains are cheaper, and they are a better form of traction. Sand only works when your moving. Chains as you know dig in. Chains won!

For added traction in snow im assuming? Like a railroad sander thats pretty cool. Ive always heard marmons are the cadillacs of the truck world.

@@dolanroufs1032 You’re correct in the fact I should have said in front of the front drive axle. Trucks had a lot of cool things before technology . Before G.P.S. They had something called a taco graph. Which was a round paper disk that was locked into the tachometer, and would show if you were driving the whole day, or sitting wasting time. It was state of the art back then.

Originally built in Indiana then they moved it down to Denton Plant is still there that's where Peterbilt has one of their factories now in the old Marmon fatory Only thing I would do is retrofit with some duals
