Great video. I work with these Marks just about every day, but not very often the iron gate variant. I didn't realize you could remove the spindle blocking disc. So thanks for teaching me that!

Ahhh the joys of Locksmithing You young guns take notes…he has some good lessons here. Get your self some used mortise locks and take them apart to see how the shit works. Yes, it can be intimidating but with some practice you will gain knowledge on how locks work. I have had my share of mortise locks screws come loose and the case opens and lock people out and in ! Assuming you have the problem solving mechanical skills of a lock don’t be afraid to tinker. Good video bud.

The spindle does not skrew on mine it's a old one I fixed it myself and it's good the springs are good to I did what you said in one of your videos now all I need is a skeleton key.
