Markhor Documentary I Wildlife Documentary
Үй жануарлары мен аңдар
Markhor is an incredible wild goat with male horns measuring almost 5 feet and weighing more than 100 kilos. The kids are born in the steepest of terrains where they survive their initial days escaping formidable predators such as wolves, lynx, and golden eagles.
In the rut season, the males engage in deadly battles where they fight for dominance to earn the respect of female markhors.
Chitral Gol National Park is one of the very few places on earth where close to 3000 markhors thrive. Making it one of the few stable populations in the world. A remarkable comeback from a few hundred.
But presumably with rising temperatures, the snow leopard, the apex predator has disappeared from the region and the lynx population has increased, disturbing the natural balance. The smaller predator is more efficient at killing the kids of markhor, putting a dent in the fresh gene pool.

This guy is a genius 🫡 One man Army One man National Geographic!!!
Your documentaries are amazing! Very few wildlife filmmakers ever bother to go to Pakistan, which is a shame because as your films show the natural beauty of this country is incredible. Thank you for showing this side of Pakistan to the rest of us, and I hope to see more films soon! Especially from Balochistan, Punjab and Kashmir! Those places haven't been featured yet.

Balochistan and Kashmir sound very interesting! Soon
I was born in a village which is famously regarded as the home of Markhor, the village of Lachipora in district Baramulla. And as a result, a wildlife sanctuary was commissioned by the name of Lachipora Wildlife Sanctuary. All my life until now, i have been hearing the stories of this majestic animal. Though i've seen gorals often in my village but sightseeing a Markhor was always a dream until i saw them also. But having no binoculars or sophisticated cameras my vision was limited to what only my eyes could zoom and see. But thank you Abdullah Bahi. Your documentary is up at the top along with all the videos of the Markhor ever made. From Snow Leopard to The Markhor, my most beloved animal, we have come a long way. Your productions are a treat to the eye. Much Love. ❤️

You have such an emotional attachment with Markhor which i can certainly empathise with as i have been filming them for about 5 years. You are so lucky to be born in a village that is home to Markhor. Remarkable animals that continue to surprise especially with the power struggle during the rut season! I am so glad that to have shared it with someone like you.

Nobody has talked about how the Chitral Gol national park was originally established in 1970s to protect the Snow Leopard and other endangered species , through the cooperation of HH the Mehtar sb of Chitral and the then NWFP Govt , based on the earlier visit and report of famous conservation specialist George B Schaller .

This proves that a dedicated and committed team can do wonders. Conservation of the eco system is like lending Providence a helping hand and is best described by the adage ہم خرما و ہم صواب The documentary should also have highlighted the obstacles and stumble blocks in the way of the markhor's Conservation and plans, if any, for the future. Wildlife enthusiasts would assuredly chip in for such a venture. Regards
❤awsm sir
Thank you Abdullah bhai for making such a beautiful documentary. I really hope and pray that we Pakistanis and wildlife lovers can come together to conserve whatever species remaining in Pakistan. ❤

Always a pleasure! I am glad you enjoyed it. Yes we urgently need measures for the conservation of wildlife
Even though I am against trophy hunters, the opinions expressed in this documentary make complete sense. The trophy hunters pay for the conservation of wildlife and habitat, in a place where there are no few if any jobs. Money is provided to the community helping to raise living standards. It's a system that is clearly working, you have to admire all those involved.
Very nice report good information

One man army ❤
Come to Kashmir and make a documentary on Hangul....
Pakistan Zindabad❤❤❤❤
The thing is today situation has improved but i have read the reports saying trophy hunting doesn't come to locals.that is a concern that needs to be well addresses.. If it is propaganda then it should be properly debunked showing where and they spend the trophy hunting money because it is the local community that is in close contact with the wildlife and are the ones who could be a FRIEND OR FOE FOR THE POACHERS DEPENDING ON WHO HAS THE MORE INCENTIVES FOR THEM.
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Amazing documentary. government is responsible to provide funds for conservation. Killing an amazing animal and earning amount is not advisable but unfortunately it’s happening.
