Market Walk Late on a Friday Afternoon in Tamale, Ghana 🇬🇭 - Giddipass to Melcom to Central Mosque

The Central Market in Tamale is a sprawling affair. From a dense center, it meanders through the streets of the city not quite knowing when to end.
This walk-through covers some outer edges of the market sticking to main streets and ending up at the Central Mosque during prayer time, on Friday, the Muslim holy day.
Unlike the market walk video in Sierra Leone (link: • DEEP Street Market Wal... ) where I had two companions running interference, in this video I am traveling completely solo.
There might have been a few grumbles in the background (just guessing), but no one was significantly bothered by my walking through with a camera. Ghanaians have become more comfortable with this sort of thing than some parts of Africa.
Always be aware of your situation and the mood before you break out your camera and start taking pictures. At the moment, I'm living here. Even people I don't know probably recognize me a little bit. I'm known for making videos, so that might have helped. Also, Ghanaians are incredibly friendly and welcoming people.
The people in Sierra Leone are very friendly, too. But they have a recent rough history that changes the situation somewhat.
In future videos, when I go deeper into the market to film it's a much tighter space and I expect to be stopping and asking for permission more often.
Enjoy!

It was 88F when I started and 92F when I finished. So yes, it was a challenging walk after a while.
