I wish they schools would show this at the beginning of the year, every year! Adults do the same thing! It breaks my heart!! This World would be so nice if everyone could just be nice to everyone! My best friend and I ate lunch with a homeless man one time! We bought his lunch and his supper. Broke my heart when he said "you don't want to be seen with me "! We told him we didn't care! Let people stare and believe me they did! I don't sit high enough to Judge anyone!!

Harris, This song brings back memories for me. I was that little boy who cried myself to sleep and was always chosen last. I'm also the old man with the cardboard sign without enough to eat. Don't Laugh At Me. The scruffy-lookin' Nerf herder.

Your reactions are always appropriate to the music and lyrics. The situations in this sad and beautiful song are all too real. My heart breaks for anyone who is bullied and laughed at.

as someone who was teased and picked on a lot in school for being the "fat shy kid" this has always hit home for me. just like the song says, i was laughed at and always picked last for teams. they just have to know it gets better, people change. my former bullies later praised me and apologized for how they treated me. that felt so good to hear

I've been bullied my whole life. I love this song it's so beautiful. I have epilepsy and a kid in school was making fun of me for having seizures. I even got detention in school for refusing to run in gym class do to me having an asthma attack. All the bullying I went through just made me stronger made me wanna prove that I can do stuff that people don't think I can do

I have had epilepsy since I was 11 months old and kids would make fun of me when I had a seizure in school. I was bullied all the time for it. Sad but true. And I had friends but none of them had my back when I was being bullied for my seizures so I finally had enough and had my dad and older brother teach me to fight and the next time someone made fun of me for having epilepsy I knocked them out and even though I was defending myself I was the one who got suspended not the other person. I know fighting isn't the answer but as a teenager I didn't and I still have epilepsy and my life is great and I think if only those who made fun of me and bullied me could see me now. Happily married and have 2 great kids.

There is a great video you have to see. At a wedding, the bride and groom start dancing to their wedding song by her favorite singer, Mark Wills when all of a sudden there is a malfunction and the song stops. The bride looks perplexed but unbeknownst to her, the groom had arranged for Mark Wills himself to come out and play the song live. The bride's reaction is priceless as she starts freaking out. Here is the link. kzread.info/dash/bejne/pHWhz9ijXZrNZtI.html

This amazing song was actually written by songwriter Steve Seskin. Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul and Mary heard this song at the Kerrville Folk Festival backstage one year and immediately asked to record it. They did a beautiful job of it, and have actually developed an entire anti-bullying curriculum and organization based on this song. They go in to schools and present it. It’s such a needed song, especially these days. The only addition I would make and am disappointed that isn’t included (maybe it is on the new version? I have to check that out) is that I would love to hear them recognize atheists at the end along with all the other other religions mentioned. EDIT: I hadn’t listened to the whole reaction when I typed this. I forgot that in this version, Mark doesn’t sing about all the different religions and how we shouldn’t dismiss anyone - both Steve Seskin and Peter Yarrow always sing those lines)

Most people who are persistently homeless are either mentally ill, addicted to alcohol or drugs, or all three. It's why it's so difficult to find a long-term solution to the problem. The root problem isn't a lack of money or the lack of a place to live.
