But I also feel like if you don't have a taste for actual talented musicians & perfer bubble gum radio hits (not saying all radio hits are bad with no talent by any means I too enjoy simpler catchy tunes) you might not deserve to be blessed with such exquisite music such as this one if your unable to notice a FEEL the differance.

I never realized how much Mystikal's vocals recall The Godfather of Soul. It's like it's been there the whole time, but I never saw it until Ronson pairs his raw vocals with an old school soul groove, and now even going back to Mystikal's back catalogue I feel like the James Brown comparisons have always been there. Top notch production work. Well played Mr. Ronson.

I don't think that's true. Uptown funk was written and sung by Mark originally. It was until Bruno mars asked to Mark to work together. mark wrote the lyrics, but it was with the help of Mars's singing style that made the song a hit.

Phoenix Wright Originally uptown funk was Bruno Mars song. He wrote that a long time ago but decided to give it to Mark Ronson. I saw a video on youtube where Bruno sang a part of this song at a concert at Las Vegas I think 1 or 2 years before they officialy release the song.

Beauté Sucrée I have seen the same video and it is obviously relationed with Uptown Funk.But that doesn't mean that Mars did everithing and gave it to Ronson and this didn't nothing.First because Bruno that he had working secretly with Ronson in the album by years,then they could have been working together in that song before the concert or may be this was an inspiration for the song because the song in the concert doens't have the same lyrics,also there is only a part of the instrumental not all.Also that song is really a mashup of MMHS and All good everything of Trinidad James.Then you can't affirm that only Mars wrote it and decided to give it to Ronson and this didn't anything in the song.

GManmusiq Yeah I did, when I first met Bruno he popped right up in front of me and said "Hey man, I'm Bruno" and freaked me out so badly. It made me freak out because the casting schedule said Bruno would be at the set at 6:00 and it was only 2:00 when I got there, so him being there was so unexpected. The Uptown Special Band and I shook hands with Bruno and talked with him for a little bit, which was a complete blast. I would do anything to go back on that set.

I ask the same question about the song itself, it released the exact same time as uptown funk as a single, was also in uptown special and is like usual a Ronson masterpiece but it just didn't seem to gel with the public, often the case though.

Lovin the Varity of styles on these collaborations. I take it that Mark Ronson is writing all of these hits. I was wondering how much each song is written with the singer in mind or how much the co stars where involved in the process. Symbiotic for sure. Thanks.

OMG can't believe I heard this song tonight for the first time at a wrestling match!! Always loved Mystikal and glad to see No Limit touring after all these yrs. This video really make the song, the kids are dope!!
