He finished 5th in big 12 and u guys are acting like u jus hired a HOF coach and it’s hilarious, I hope u enjoyed ur press conference it’s the most fun u will have all season with coach pope. Go look at his record in the WCC he isn’t a new young coach , he’s the oldest coach ever hired bye UK , it just goes to show people will accept anything when they are told to .

Yeah he’s getting off to a scorching start , Travis Perry said he hasn’t talked to coach yet that pope has been to busy , his first priority should have been to secure the good players he already has and it doesn’t take a genius to know that . Kentucky fans are acting like this guy is a legend and he hasn’t won one game in a tournament. They are so proud of his degrees and not his tournament record. They were mad at Coach Cal for not winning more and he at least had a championship under his belt as a coach. This guy received the red carpet for not even coaching a NCAA tournament win.

@@markcarter9599cal was irrelevant lately. His win percentage the last 5 years was on par to Tubby Smith. They had 1 title. BYU kenpom rankings were better than Cals and better than a few of the names being thrown around. Is he the guy who knows. Cal only had 4 yrs left before mandatory retirement from UK. All Cal had to do was make a few changes but his arrogance wouldn’t allow it. Dribble drive offense is horrible and he only played man and even admitted he didn’t practice zone. I know people in Lexington and the word going was his assistant barely gave 8 hrs a day and he was home by 6 every night. Not sure if it’s sure. But i trust their words. He’s Arkansas problem now. I hope can reinvent himself. But as of today they have 0 scholarship players. He he a mountain to climb there as well.
