7:01 Barring the ending, I think this is the only indication that Ora isn't real, seeing that Azai and his high-tech ninjas don't acknowledge her presence. She also just simply vanishes when the protagonist refuses sepukku.

Theres actually many foreshadows and indications. - She always travel through gameplay to paths that you can never reach. - She acts as if she helped you through the mission, but nobody even mentions you going with help. - Despite not being on screen, multiple times you can still her hear voice talking to you through the Missions. - When you learn the teleportation, and the only way past the traps is teleporting, apparently, which she wouldn't have if she was real, she just re-appear on the other side. She also mentions *"We* can't go past, unless...", and then *you* teleport. And the most shadowy indication of them all: - "First rule: *Don't get me killed."* These details are geniuses cuz in most games with stealth where u have companions, all of what I mentioned happen only for Gameplay sake (since a NPC following u around would bother the player). But Mark of The Ninja made a lore out of this detail.

Moral of the story: don't get the tattoo. The price you pay for it isn't worth the trouble.

More a story of the needs of the many vs the needs of one. Also, progressives vs traditionals. Also how power corrupts, both physical power corrupting the ninja or status possibly corrupting Azai. So many themes mingled together, it was such a great experience for me

I wish it did but it won't, which makes it funny.

This was and still is one of my favourite games to date and I had always hoped for a second although I'm doubting that will happen.

this game needs to become a series! maybe not a sequel becuase it's intended to be ambiguous but maybe a prequel so we the sumi in it's prime and how it was discovered by tetsuji

I would say the one where the ninja kills himself, because he vowed to protect the clan. And if he stay alive he would be become insane from the tattoo ink, he already seeing many hallucinations in the last levels of the game.

@@ThaBotmon but can't he just control himself, Azai deserves it he stole everything from hessian,not for honor to control as a clue he controlled his people and gave up the honor of the clan , but if the ink makes you insane anyway kill myself after I kill him,or live in a far away place. Or I see better to put him in jail, but I can't change that.
