Mark Normand became the first (and only) guest in the newly built Skeptic Tank Studio! This was recorded March 17, the first day bars and restaurants were closed in New York. We talked about what it was doing to standup, our fears, made jokes about everything, and drank some ice cold Coronas while we did it. Nobody knew how far Covid 19 would go and nobody was yet saying even not to meet up with friends. But in between recording this podcast, and before my interview the next day, it started to seem more like a health risk to have a guest and my producer come to the studio. So we called it off until we learned more. But before we did, Mark and I talked about all that was happening with the Swine AIDS.
I spent half of February looking for a place and half of March building it. We'll be back. Probably. Who knows?

I never comment on here, but as an American still stuck in quarantine here in Wuhan, I just wanna say that I've been a fan of Skeptic Tank since the beginning and I waited for the day that I could see the reality of this podcast turning into a video podcast as well. Another great Chicago Bulls Game 6 Finals story: in that decider in Utah in '98, Phil Jackson told his players in the final huddle to "get the ball to Michael, and get the hell out of his way." Result: one of the most iconic moments in sports history. Perfect metaphor for what these studio suits should be doing. Trusting their talent to make a play.

Danish and Oneill have talked about him, and he has been mentioned on the comedy store podcast as well. Maybe someone has an old album or some old video footage of his stand up? Anyone got any info? Searched a bunch with no luck.

Not sure if its Danish or Oneill- But one of them does an impression of Painter that DESTROYYYYYSSSSS me everytime he does it on the Skeptic Tank. They better be on Podcast 400. And I've never heard or seen Mr. Painter perform/speak.
