The sign of a great star Mark is happy to take a back seat and not hog the limelight.
Mark is one of the best there has ever been !
Mark is my hero He just has the right taste for the perfect music. He plays every note, and every lick just enough. There is just the right amount of everything. He actually offered Vince to play for Dire Straits. That tells you how great Vince is as a guitar player
As the great Joe Brown says of Knopfler he just has ‘the touch’ - my all time favourite guitarist (and artist)!
I was under a big misconception ,.....Mark Knophler's album of ..."on every street", is simply beautiful, I love his playing, writing.singing etc. I always tough that on that album Vince Gill also collaborated with Knophler, because of the wonderful playing and singing in the background. But I was wrong.....it was other musicians, and they were great ,steel guitar,..... harmony ,...everything. Still I listen to that album every single day, each song is unique in every way. Mark Kophler is the best as far as I'm concerned, and I am a guitar player .....a blues guitar player. Other musicians are excellent, but Knophler is ....#...One for me.
Mark kills it.
konpfler, solo from the deep heart
As many times as I have heard this played in person and recordings I think this is one of the best I have ever heard. Mark Knophler added just a little more soul. Vince playing the guitar solo is straight from his heart and really makes the strings in a way it touches your soul and tear ducts too.
Mark, on the 1 in a million chance that the owner of this channel is actually you, you are one of my musical heroes. God bless you. Ps. Please come to Nashville.
MK talento indiscutível!!🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷❤❤❤❤🦋🎸🎸🎸💃
💖💖💖.
There all so young.
We are all a bit older now but music is a journey that takes us through genre and expectations. Vince is an excellent guitarist and so is Chet Atkins. A perfect blending of rock, soul, folk, and country. Mark Knophler, I will always enjoy your unique sound.
Beautiful ❤️👏❤️👏❤️👏❤️👏✌️❤️ to y'all

+Magdolna Bozsóki Quite right too.
Mark tried to get Vince Gill to join his band...
We all agree that Mark Knopfler is a fantastic guitarist, but Vince Gill are playing the guitar pretty good. But is there someone on this side, who has heard about a danish guitar player “Jørgen Ingmann” a fantastic danishes guitar player, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1963 with his wife.
