The serious shit(and I understand it was fucked-up) he did was at like age 15, he served time then turned his life around. There may be lots of people like that in this world, but many more people that will continue to believe their fucked-up views are the way, and will never grow out of it. So agreed. A+

There is more to it than I realized but I never claimed nor does the OP claim that he is no longer racist. What I do claim is that he turned his life around from criminal and gang activity to ample success in entertainment. Maybe he is still just as racist as he was but he doesn't seem to be acting on these views. I don't think he deserves a pardon for these actions, and definitely not so he can expand a restaurant chain. So maybe I spoke before I had all the info. BTW can you link me any of lyrics you talked about?

+Samuel S. Obviously he's not perfect, but I respect people like him more than people who denies making a mistakes in the first place. Did you know that he plead guilty when he beat that Vietnamese guy (means he goes to jail whether or not the Vietnamese guy gives evidence). I really think that's owning up. Can you tell me what you mean by never own up to it? I like Mark Wahlberg, and I think he's a great guy, but I don't mind being disillusioned about some Hollywood star if it's true. Why I like him is pretty much he doesn't hide who he was and is, because that's what you do if you really try to improve your life (the people around you can see your flaws and give you real advice because you don't try to hide your flaws so much, except maybe in job interviews and such).

No, when a person changes the past doesn’t change but that is not the point is it? A person, a child from poverty, a broken home, and the baby of a large family…with the help of his brother changed his life and completely turns it around cannot be dismissed! Mark Walberg and his family have never forgotten where they came from and they have given back time and time again. You certainly don’t think that this should be dismiss missed do you? I mean everyone makes mistakes. What counts is what you do with the mess you have made?

It was in the past, he knows what he did is wrong, and now he is different. If anything he did a complete 360. He heavily supports the democratic party, gay rights, equal rights, etc. Its sad that people don't support individuals who have changed their ways. Judging someone for their past is only fair if they are still living there. Apparently he isn't.

If you're gonna judge someone for something they did when they were 15 then there's really not a lot of decent people left... From what I've seen and heard he owns up to it... did spend some time in jail... and i've seen him say a few times that 'he technically got away with stuff that he shouldn't have...' he knows he was wrong.. and spends his time making sure people understand that what he did was not right... What else do people want from him? a pound of flesh? he gives back waaayyy more now (which is way more valuable to society - then just having him sit behind bars and have taxpayers pay for his meals...) let him make his movies.. give a bunch back to charity and spread his message of 'don't be like me'....

It'sAlexForShort people hate him because of the shit he did when he was younger and that he pretty much got away with it whereas anyone else would be in jail right now. Imo he's grown up a lot since he was a thug but most of these people hate just for the sake of hating lol that said when he has a few too many drinks I think that ass hole side comes out ( he was pissing guests off on the Graham Norton show when he got loaded ) but since then I havnt really seen him drunk in the public eye. Tl;dr haters gonna hate.

It was a realistic security drill orchestrated by the DHS full of absurdities that prove it wasn't a traditional act of terror but a deeply disturbing psychological operation. A lack of respect on my part would be to do nothing while knowing that an entire population's emotions and wallets are being messed with. To the thinking minds out there who might be on the fence about believing how the government could be so deceptive about something, just consider the account of the former police chief of Boston, Ed Davis, who said about an UNARMED Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in the boat just before his arrest that "over the course of the next hour or so, we exchanged gunfire with the suspect."
