My guess is that Mark lost big money on the game these guys were talking about and he took it out on them for reminding him of it. Pure speculation on my part but his tantrum seemed so disproportionate to the energy of their pitch. It was a little playful dig, just like every other pitch we've seen that incorporates playful little digs against the Mavericks. It happens all the time, so it's pretty weird for him to be so upset about this one in particular.

They took an existing product, made it look less appealing while claiming it was more appealing...and their biggest selling point is that their product is unique because they have a subscription feature?! Do you all not use your brains?? It take two seconds for anyone to add a subscription model to their products. There's nothing unique or special about it. Plus, now that they've been on Shark Tank and everyone has seen it, there will be plenty of copycats.

I wrote this comment at 1:24 into the video, not even knowing yet how Mark reacted. Bad...even a stupid thing to say, "Sorry Mark." When a person looking for a deal starts off by making an insult "a joke" beyond just poor social skills and common sense lacking a Shark has to question, would they really want to introduce that caliber of a person to THEIR business partners? I wouldn't. Just because it's okay to call a Shark by their first name don't assume a comfort level of making something personal about them a joke but at least they had the insight to apologize.

It would have been hilarious if they gave Mark the Night Night sign after they got the deal. LOL

Myself and many people I know react to these things. They often have garbage chemicals that even if you aren't sensitive can cause health problems for you down the road. When they said their cost I wasn't surprised.

You can call Mark salty all day, but it really is crazy to me that two sharp dudes like this thought it was a good idea to go this route instead of just showcasing the Mavs freshener.

No. That's not a joke. That was insulting, especially to a potential investor. Know your audience. Mark Cuban is the owner of the Mavericks. And the Warriors are one of the Mavs conference rivals. That was disrespectful at its best.

Did Mark overreact? Yes, he did. But let's not forget that a team is a business and these sharks dedicate their lives to their businesses. It was a dumb move. If you owned a small business and had an important meeting with Coca-Cola executives, would you give them a Pepsi and them them that it smells better than Coca-Cola? This is an important business lesson. Pitching to the sharks is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. I would spend all my time thinking about how I could impress the sharks. I wouldn't even consider making a joke about their businesses.

They put the Warriors AND the Heat on his desk, two teams who made Mark suffer some of the worst and painful losses in Mav's history, and then said it "smelled like winning". C'mon that's pretty stupid of them. There are just no positives from that. The odds Mark would be like "haha real funny guys, I’ll make you an offer!" and connect are extremely low...so why do it? It's like pitching Bezos and joking about his divorce or Elon Musk about how bad Twitter is doing. What are the odds of that helping your pitch? Someone who thinks like that has poor judgement. That's why Mark was out.

It's current year and people still think misspelling something makes it cooler...

The gsw fragrance is not what offended Mark, but that "sorry Mark" comment one of them thrown out, out of nowhere. Noticed that after that, other sharks were into Mark. It's humiliting when the whole room is making fun out of you. And really, there's no reason for that comment/joke anyway.

2:15 Must have been right before lunch. Mark is definitely the hangry type. No "You can counter." or "Congrats guys!" We all have a sore spot. This makes sense for the value. I tend to buy a few at the dollar store and work through them for months but I could see this making sense.
