Sadly, Paul Newman (who built the Clematis Railway) passed away in 2013. He was 84. We were both members of the Kent Group of the G Scale Society, and as a result, we visited each other's garden railways, in our lifetimes. He was a wonderful man, greatly missed, and now, he's continuing to play trains, up in the sky.God bless you, Paul, God bless.

Excellent series; glad I ‘found’ it... Just checking. Your first guest said signals followed by points - I always thought it was the other way round? E.g. point set for the road but signal still set at danger

If you go to any preserved railway you will find mr Pike that the points must be set first before the signal is cleared!!!!. Also when a wire snaps the signal drops to the "ON" position not the "OFF"!!!

Or you could use a RC Gas fired live steam loco - bit pricy, and high maintenance, but much more realistic, and makes it a lot more of a personal and physical thing, as you have to steam the loco up, and get it set, but one it is setup its good to go for a good run of the line.

MZS of LGB. It isn't even real DCC but a simple version of it. Nowadays we use real DCC or MFX, the protocol of Märklin.
