I agree with your point about the source of the demise of our nation, it is a malaise fed by ignorance. I grew up in the 1970s when, as a young person, I loved to read about history and politics. Later, in the 1980s, there was a lot written about the coming demise of the USA, about how the might always fall given enough time. The popular thinking looked to external forces, foreign powers or the failure of capitalist democracy. Sadly, the reality is mundane. It seems stupidity and a lack of curiosity among the people who don’t understand what a privilege it is to be born in this country. This country will not be a better place to live if we continue upon the paths of division and anger.

11:09 don’t think this interview was exactly fair but this is where I have the biggest problem. She says she thinks apologizing is important but then runs like a coward from the Parkland subject. Chasing down a survivor of one of the worst tragedies to attack his well-earned position is just _____ fill in the blank. At the very least deserves acknowledgement and apology. And people who vote for her AFTER seeing such behavior, wow!

Probably not and if there is somebody that is more thuggish that would be Maxine Waters. My issue is that she’s held extremely ignorant, nasty opinions and felt it was OK to shout down the parents of the victims of the Parkland shooting. I also think her talking about Jewish base lasers creating wildfires us is absolutely insane. The attraction some people have to her I find absolutely crazy. Right minded Republicans need to purge them selves of these crazies so we can start winning elections.

60 m went down the radical left media support long ago. I watched it in the 70's and realized they are tabloid not news.

Who allowed her to do that exactly? And yes the fact check should go back that far. It has on others in politics. And no the founding fathers did not walk around quoting the bible. They drew inspiration fron the French & Greek philosophy. I love to see her interviewed by John Stewart.

Also thought it was hysterical that Stahl opened segment with repeating some of the "labels" her critics throw at MGT, and then repeatedly Question her mean tweets. The irony is THICK with the Stahl!

Love to see Leslie in a 'gotcha moment'...all she can do is roll her eyes, exhale ("ok"), and immediately change the subject. 😁😉

Even for those of us not at all fans of MTG, *many* of us acknowledge the dangerous new brand of "science denying" and insane hyper-sexualization of kids as young as six. And yes, from a law enforcement perspective, exposing & encouraging children to embrace pornography (easily accessible in most public school libraries) whilst facilitating a curriculum devoid of actual biology - instead steeped in sexual preferences & lifestyles choices - absolutely meets the criteria/profile of pedophilia. Exactly. MTG's name calling comes from her constant fight with reality. The names and things she accuses people of she herself says she can't prove but would like to think they are true. There is nothing wrong with calling someone a liar when they constantly lie. Her name calling has no basis in fact and is done to sway people's opinion of the accused. So, in that case she is also guilty of slander. The names she is called are the result of her own behavior and statements, but she will deny that she said things even when there is solid and recorded evidence that she did.

Her introduction speaks for itself. This is no journalism.

It’s pretty simple - we max out the debt ceiling every few years. Most Americans pay into government services that actively work against the constitution. There are more than 600 federal agencies, many that half of congress have never heard of. Cut the agencies, cut the spending.

Dave T. That "glib" remark I think was a veiled attempt at being insulting as if she attempted to talk down to a child.. Imho, of course lol lol. The lady may have her faults and flaws but MTG scored points with me when she attempted to visit the J6 prisoners to determine what was going on. I also know that she was involved in a memorial, with a family member and others, for young man, a J6 detainee, who committed suicide.

But if I’m taking 20 or so from the house that seem to be acting in our best interests, MTG is on that list. Credit goes to her for taking the interview in the first place. 60 minutes tried as hard as they could to make her look bad. She came off pretty well for someone being tossed questions like those.

Every TV show does this. It was probably a 40 minute to an hour interview they had to cut into 14 minutes. If you want long form answers watch long form content like a podcast

Stahl and this whole segment was not objective nor impartial. If you are a critical thinking individual, it was painfully obvious.

As someone who believes in the GOP both on policy and principles, the last decade has been a nightmare. We did this to ourselves. We rightly wanted a more populist policy direction, but allowed the chief con man to open the door truly wacko and insane types like MTG. Senator Graham, before he jumped on the trump train in order to stay relevant, said it best: “if we elect him we’re going to get what’s coming to us and we will deserve it.”
