I freaking love the vibes this game gives. It feels more creepy. Modern Mario games seem like they know their identity. But older Nintendo games didn’t and that’s what made them better.

This is very much reminiscent of old school "KZread Poop" and the hyperactive slapstick energy of old internet animations. And yet, there is a coherent understanding that this can be interpreted as "This was my first experience with Super Mario 64".

I know there is the theory of Mario 64 being personalized, but I didn't know it would straight up speak to my heart. Absoutly beautiful.

Started playing Mario 64 a few days ago for the first time ...and wow the movement felt so ahead of its time

These crusty JPG-backgrounds, that weird flash-shapeshifting-effect at the end and the general style and tone make the whole video feel like an animation from Newgrounds in 2006 and that is absolutely phenomenal

The amount of time this must have taken must have been a lot, 11 of the 15 stages and more, lots of hard work. I totally missed that Mario's leg was ripped off in the carousel, so much effort into little things like that really elevate the humor and make it worth watching a second time. Keep up the great work!
