But This Mario Vs Sonic Video Is Kinda Different From The Others (it actually shows that mario is so much powerful than what people think)

17:21-17:30 Naugus never created a universe of infinite portions. He discovered the Zone of Silence and when he was in it, he discovered it increased his abilities to that of a god. He then discovered the Void which was similar to the Zone of Silence but was more stable. So with his enhanced powers he merged the two pocket dimensions into one. Sonic never fought Naugus in that Zone (it would have been suicide.) Also Sonic actually tried to fight Naugus in his base but he couldn’t hurt Naugus due to his molecular control, which made him immune to Sonic’s attacks. Naugus even robbed the air out of Sonic’s lungs. The only way Sonic could harm or defeat him was with his Ultra Form or using the Sword of Light (which became the new Sword of Acorns.)

I am incredibly happy you mentioned the Dream Depot. So many people overlook this Multiversal (or higher) feat for Mario so I'm glad you shed light on it. There is one thing you said about it that I think is important to clear up. Dreamy Bowser didn't threaten the Dream Depot. that was base Bowser. Dreamy Bowser is Bowser after he consumed the Dream Stone. Dreamy Bowser would still be Multiversal regardless since he was using power from all the dreams anyway. This gives Mario another Multiversal feat over Sonic. Just thought I would clear that up.

Last I checked, Maginiaryworld is not an equivalent to Dream Depot because Dream Depot has more indept analysis of the dream worlds being universes(ie Future Dream being stated by Misstar to be a universe) and statements of space-times whereas the Maginiaryworld on the other hand states only the world itself to be a universe while it's dreams(a different meaning) to be just pocket reality dimensions so that comparison is crap.

No it does not, the dream depot has more indepth analysis on why its dreams are universed sized(the view of the constellations and Misstar stating one of them to be universes) and they are from the dreams(sleeping one), the maginaryworld is different because its dream dimensions are based on a different definition of dreams (wishes) and in the manual, they are only said to be dimensions. Before this, I was convinced that Sonic would destroy Mario as soon as he entered his super form, but you’ve convinced me that it would actually be more likely for Mario to win. Great video!

I wanna point out for the Super Dimentio feat, that Bowser straight up says that he gets a power boost from the pure hearts during the fight, so the pure hearts should be benefiting them all equally, and thus Mario shouldn't scale to that feat since it's with power Paper Mario lost access to. And for Super Sonic, Solaris is explicitly said to be a higher dimensional being, and it was going to erase time across the entire multiverse, which would include Maginaryworld - a 4th dimensional universe (said more clearly in the Japanese version, which should be the primary version used as the game was first written in Japanese).

@@void.w1zard The Pure Hearts still only healed Mario and Co. and got rid of Super Dimentios Invunerability. Even then Base Dimentio alone is busted.

Mario does not move at light speed at a casual level, sure you can get a few hits in on sonic, but constantly tracking sonic is not possible. It’s even shown in Sonic CD that he can travel through time by running.

@@fontanermario There’s so many things wrong with that cut scene it’s insane. Like how he does it out of nowhere, and never displays that kind of power ever again. It’s not a situation like he won’t, because that would have been very helpful in partners in time. This is kind of the most difficult thing comparing this to, while sonic has a more consistent Cannon mostly, Mario’s all over the place, and sure while it’s all called Cannon, we all know that we should not take that at face value.

@@fontanermario So you’re saying it wouldn’t be helpful if Mario brought his past self back to his time so he wouldn’t worry about the time-stream. Also, you know it doesn’t really matter if Mario can time travel, since sonic can do the same, sure Mario can go back and kill sonic since he uses transportation, but that would require prior knowledge of where sonic was in the past. Like we don’t even know sonic’s true origins, plus by the time Mario gets there i’m pretty sure sonic would be able to get away just in time for sonic in the present to get Mario. Which is another thing, the reason why I say sonic can travel through time is to show how fast he is, don’t get me wrong we have seen Mario move at light speed, but we’ve seen that Mario does not have as much stamina as sonic has. Which means while Mario will get a few hits in, at the end of the day he cannot move at that speed reliably to finish sonic off.

Also this is what I've been looking for a mario vs sonic video where all there power ups super forms abilities and accomplishments are all on the table.... am hitting the thumbs up for this video

Although this was an amazing video I couldn’t help but notice you adding paper Mario’s arsenal to regular Mario’s move set. 1:19 you even said yourself those are two separate Mario’s, you also forgot to mention how sonic can do chaos control as well as if he wanted to use the emeralds to make wishes just like with paper Mario and the star rod. Overall great vid I just wanted to point that out.

17:36-17:46 Archie Sonic was only capable of doing that because of the Super Genesis Wave. Also he never fused two multiverses together, he warped his own multiverse with his Chaos Control and the Super Genesis Wave.

Mario beating sonic in base and being debated to beat his super form is well something. Mario already being multiversal is something but sonic in base is already mutliversal itself with immeasurable speed. In sonic forces sonic has defeated infinite at least twice where Infinte uses the power of the phantom ruby. The phantom ruby can warp reality and can travel through different dimensions and has shown to travel through time since classic sonic went from past and ended up being in the future where sonic forces takes place. The phantom ruby has also created a dimension known as null space which is a dimension full of nothingness where the dimension itself is stated to be infinite in size. Sonic overpowers infinte like I said at least twice in sonic forces and Solaris is well beyond that power. Solaris exist in all points of existing of time (past present and future) which means the only way to completely defeat Solaris is to defeat him in the past defeat him in the present and defeat him in the future. In the sonic 06 guidebook sonic is stated to be the only character that cns defeat Solaris and the game proves this by going with the fact that it is the reason why Mephiles kills sonic before merging with Iblis to become Solaris. Solaris is also a transcending life form that transcends time and space and is also a super dimensional being and can destroy time itself into nothingness. In sonic forces sonic stated himself that he gets stronger every second which cns be proven with past games but it’s also unquantifiable. Sonic also gets faster every time he runs and can reach new levels of speed. In the classic era of sonic it’s been stated that’s sonic can reach speed of Mach 1 all on his own and sonic frontiers makes this call back. Since we already proved that sonic already has immeasurable speed he can even get faster then this and sonic doesn’t even run at max speed. So overall Mario has a match against sonic in base form but when sonic goes super it’s gonna be a different story. Also another need to note is super sonic not lasting long is just a game mechanic. In sonic advance sonic went into his super form and went to the moon to fight eggman. A week has gone by and sonic returns in his super form. Meaning that sonic can maintain his super form for a week.

@JJGaming Nice essay you wrote👏, but I disagree heavily. Sonic only reaches Multiversal(Multi-Universal) power when he is in Super form or even Darkspine, Base Sonic is consistently Star lvl atmost. Null Space was not created by Infinite and another thing to note is that the Phantom Ruby's power was weakened before Base Sonic defeated Infinite. Also, Sonic does not have immeasurable speed, the manuals just said he surpassed the speed of light, to have immeasurable speed, you need to have movement beyond linear time and he doesn't run at max speed since he would already run faster than light. Mario surpasses Base Sonic and can debately match Super Sonic. Also there is no time frame for Super Sonic lasting that long since we didn't see him in his Super form for weeks.

I'm not sure about the warping reality bit either, yes, he has manipulated gravity and feeds false images to the brain of the user, but when I say reality warping, I mean the ability to manipulate structures to their liking, which as far as I've seen, Infinite hasn't been able to do. And the way the phantom ruby works is pretty vague in the first place.

When previously, it took Super Sonic to defeat perfect chaos, now he can do it in base with less hits. Now with that in mind, let's take into account that Solaris was stated to eat dimensions casually, and Infinite in Forces (hate to bring up Forces, but it is a thing so here it is.) was stated to be the strongest foe Sonic had ever faced. So depending on whether or not you interpret that as Infinite being stronger than Solaris is up to you, but let's take that as it is said. That would mean that Sonic as he is now in base could take out Solaris.

Perfect Chaos was city level at best, so it is either Chaos himself isn't that strong or Super Sonic wasn't that strong considering the same Super Sonic got tuckered out from defeating Dark Gaia with help, mind you. Also, Infinite being the strongest foe Sonic ever faced, I think that was purely exaggerated considering Infinite isn't even planet level. So considering everything here, Sonic cannot match Solaris in base form, he also had help in that fight too. I don't believe that for a moment.

well here's the thing. There have been numerous times throughout the mario franchise where they have proven to be the same for instance when on the box of TTYD it has been implied that Paper Mario is a form of Mario. Miyamoto even said so himself. Paper Jam doesn't prove anything because that Paper Mario is an different version of the paper Mario we normally see.

8:25 , the super forms and hyper forms do have a time limit but a really large one depending on sonic's stamina and if there any dark eneties like dark gia around.

Im not gonna lie I agree base mario wins against base sonic but I do have some slight critique. listing off a bunch of random powers instead of actually explaining what they do or to that extent they have them is just not a good way of going about comparisons. For example both the human torch and a flame thrower have fire creation but their obiously not comerable on the levels they have that ability at if that makes any sense. And I feel like a lot of those powers were really not much more than fluff that made things needlessly longer and either weren't really note worthy or straight up irrelevant. I think a better way to go about it is b actually comparing these powers they have actually entail and they ways in which they can use them and to what extent to make things less vague, using more feat examples wouldnt hurt either. Other than that good vid, just thought id give some constructive criticism

Sonic got out of cyberspace on his own , and in Generations; sonic literally was running fast enough that he was fixing time and reality and that includes classic sonic. Furthermore, in secret rings; sonic ran endlessly until he found his way home which the Arabian Nights are endless. All this wouldn’t be possible if sonic didn’t have immeasurable speed. Besides, I thought the theory was over that Mario was faster than Sonic. It doesn’t make sense to me that a plumber can beat a character built for speed.

@Alfie brown Base Sonic is not universal/multiversal, he is Star level at best, him fighting Erazor Djinn in base is an outlier since Erazor only has the power to destroy a universe in his Alf Layla form which Sonic defeated as Darkspine and Arabian Nights is ONE universe. Even if what you said was true, Mario defeated Dreamy Bowser who is the embodies universes calced to be over 5000 giving Mario superior to Sonic.

20:10-20:17 Sonic can’t manipulate fate, the story and can’t get more powerful over time. Manipulating Fate was an excuse that Eggman and Mogul came up with of how they keep losing to Sonic, to not address their own incompetence. Even though they have beaten Sonic in the past (more consistent with Mogul than Eggman.) Sonic can’t alter the story unless it’s a story that he creates himself. Also since Sonic actually ages, the older he gets the weaker he’ll get just like with us humans. Game Sonic lives on a floating timeline and will never go beyond 15 years old and will continue to get stronger as time goes by, cause he won’t age.

Archie Sonic manipulated the story in the early issues of the comics because of those fan letters what would somehow affect what happened in the story. Also Game Sonic doesn’t get weaker as he ages, he actually gets more faster, powerful, stronger etc., so maybe Archie Sonic has something similar.

The only reason i say mario would lose it’s because unlike in the sonic universe where even today we are still getting and finding info about some old characters which makes them more pwr then what we originally thought ( solaris is the biggest example ) most if not all Marios main enemies are a one hit or in other words they appear in one game and then never return and thats for must if not his biggest feats too biggest examples being the RPG game which i may be wrong are yet to be confirmed cannon in the mario universe but excluding that almost all of the finale bosses or pwrs showed in does games only appear in does games ( the RPGS ) but when it comes to the rest of the games they are all connected so just like paper mario and archie sonic we can mario from the rpg games is technically a different character but hey you do you with this info i am out here right a long ass comment cuz i can

Id have to say that with mainline games in mind, and with no power ups allowed, Sonic stomps Mario mid to low difficulty. However with power-ups Mario pretty much snags the win immediately, using the White Tanooki Leaf. Infinite invincibility. Remember, the emeralds do have a limit. Sonic cant stay super forever. Base form moveset-wise, Sonic has the insta-shield and the homing attack, which is brutal. Mario has his jump, spin jump, and his punch-punch-kick combo from 64. Not to mention he is very agile. But since Sega has also come out and said everything is canon on the official Sonic Twitter while everything in Mario has been alluded to also being canon, its hard to say. Mario is an absolute monster with his entire ability set and arsenal from every game. Sonic, with everything being canon, is also equally as much of a monster. But this is just my opinion, i wouldnt take this at face value. Its just my belief.

It is debatable whether or not you can truly call White Tanooki infinite due to the fact it times out after you beat the levels. So its time limit would technically last as long as the level timer does.

The emeralds are coupled with the word "Infinite power" every time they get mentioned, by manuals, statements from characters, they canonically contain infinite energy. "Sonic cant stay super forever." The end of Sonic Advance shows him staying in Super for multiple days, the ring limit is non canon.

Sonic encyclopedia states Solaris destroyed time and space in ALL dimensions and timelines which already puts him higher than you scaled. Maginary World is also a thing. there's also the existence of Astral Planes in sonic verse making it an even greater feat. Ntm there is no time limit on super form that is a game mechanic. Also keep in mind star cannon is not a speed feat but a reaction feat. Mario does not actually move that fast. Another thing to note. There are multiple levels of immeasurable speed. And Sonic has MUCH greater speed feats. And base Sonic has much higher durability than you gave him credit for just saying 🤷‍♂️

I own a copy of the Encyclo-speed-ia and it's never stated Solaris did that but it if stated he was going too of super sonic and the others didn't stop him. As for the Astal plane, that was within a book world and no context was ever given just that its called the Astral Plane. The Official Sonic Channel website confirms that the Super Form has a timelimit and duration.

I will say that Sonic has been shown to get stronger and stronger after each game. When previously, it took Super Sonic to defeat perfect chaos, now he can do it in base with less hits. Now with that in mind, let's take into account that Solaris was stated to eat dimensions casually, and Infinite in Forces (hate to bring up Forces, but it is a thing so here it is.) was stated to be the strongest foe Sonic had ever faced. So depending on whether or not you interpret that as Infinite being stronger than Solaris is up to you, but let's take that as it is said. That would mean that Sonic as he is now in base could take out Solaris.

He already stated one instance of the Instant Death one with the Eye Of Solaris, but there can also be arguments where in many cutscenes of games like in 06 and Generations, where reality, time, etc is erased, Sonic's body is unaffected by the ability. Anti-Matter and poisons are probably instances from Frontiers, where Sonic has to deal with the corruption inflicted upon him after defeating Titans, although it's more of a tolerence than resistance since he IS affected by it at the end before his friends help by taking on that burden.

@@porobotboyxxx Well, I don't know if I can completely agree on the last part since Eggman didn't have COMPLETE control over TimeEater, and he only dragged Sonic's friends into the White Space where they were all frozen in time, while Sonic was knocked out before waking up there... But I can understand where you're coming from with the other one. And I'm not entirely sure if it's Anti-Matter or not since we aren't exactly told what it is, but also now that I remember, Sonic Unleashed is where the Anti-Matter truly comes from due to the Boss of the game and the enemies you fight as the Werehog.

The channel Underrated Underdog posted a couple of videos about Mario and Sonic's power level that base Sonic is high outerversal, Super Sonic is apparently Boundless, and base Mario is just outerversal. If you're curious, type in Mario more powerful than you think in the search, and you will probably find the video. He also has two videos about Sonic, titled Sonic one of the most powerful characters in fiction in two parts. Sonic's cosmology consists of confirmed canon of all Sonic media. (All the games, movies, shows, commercials, comics, official artwork, animations, and everything else exist in the same world.) I'm not saying Archie Sonic and Game Sonic are the same Sonic, but what I am saying is that all official Sonic makings are canon as in existing in the same world. This makes Sonic's "multiverse" much, much bigger. If Solaris was truly destroy all existing timelines, that includes timelines of all Sonic media. This scales Solaris high outerversal to infinite layers beyond boundless. The game Sonic The Hedgehog's (2006) manual says that Sonic is infact capable of defeating Solaris alone. This scales Super Sonic higher than Solaris who has no bounds. Infinite (The character) is canonically stronger then all of Sonic's past enemies which includes Solaris. At the end of Sonic Forces, Sonic defeats Infinite in base form. Solaris < 06 Super Sonic

I think you got it mixed up. Sonic is only capable of beating Solaris in ONE timeline. Solaris exists in multiple timelines.

Sonic is way too fast, Mario's feats aren't as strong and can be debunked with one sentence, the Chaos Emeralds are way more powerful than all of Mario's power ups combined, and finally, Sonic has more biq and bexp so Sonic wins.
