If there’s a DLC for Mario Party SuperStar, I think they would add one broad from each Mario Party GameCube series. Here’s my pick: Mario Party 4 - Toad's Midway Madness (Amusement Park) Mario Party 5 - Rainbow Dream (Cloud) Mario Party 6 - Snowflake Lake (Winter) Mario Party 7 - Windmillville (Netherlands)

I really hope Boo is a playable character, he's the one I pick in pretty much every game (Except Super, I would pick Bowser if I could but I doubt he'll ever be playable again)

This vid will have a difference of opinion but I genuinely believe we will see unlockable boards and characters in 'Mario Party Superstars' and here’s a few reasons why: 1. The N64 Boards wanted to keep it a secret in their manuals and only listed 5 boards in MP2 (Even stating a secret board may be in the game) 6 were in the actual game. In the reveal trailer for this game at E3 they announced 5 boards which is making me believe they are keeping one hidden as this game is a best of collection of the N64 boards 2. We have an item shop with the same mushroom village design, in the same item shop in MP1 you could buy the board ‘Bowsers Magma mountain’ 3. We have yet to see the character select screen, no gameplay has been shown not even in an overview trailer 4. Bowser is the big villain of this game, a lot of the early games ended with a 'Bowser' themed board 5. The Japanese website has blank spaces where more boards could be listed 6. Several other boards, stated in trailer not FINAL boards Thanks for watching

Yeah, seeing that shop has given me MUCH more confidence in more characters and at least one board being unlockable in game. And in MP1 the shop items allowed you to customize the game too so that makes it even better!

if they copy the 'Mario party 1' format at least one board should be unlockable in the shop. The fact we've seen no gameplay of the character roster just makes me believe unlockables are in the game

Pauline is what came on my mind as well. She would make a great addiction, since she’s appearing more in recent games. I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for Diddy Kong as usual

Here’s the thing about Pauline. Rosalina has a 10% attendance rate from the 1-10 Mario Parties. Pauline has a 0% attendance rate. This is a game made to honor Mario party history. She’s not a part of that don’t get me wrong she would be a great addition it’s just not likely the next Mario Party absolutely. Only characters I could see getting in the roster are Koopa Kid and one other enemy they haven’t used in the mini games.

It really won't. If you look at Lucky Space roulettes it does a lot more than just give you coins, a lot of the spots on the wheel are actually items. Considering how money heavy Peach's Birthday Cake and Yoshi's Tropical Island are, they have no risk. Woody Woods and Horror Land also both have extra bank spaces to eat up some of your newfound wealth, on top of the latter being very coin heavy to begin with, the biggest change it'll do is combining with items to make the King Boo star steal something actually feasible to see because it doesn't require three very specific scenarios to be met. Also the items will eat up money too, and we've seen they're not really notably less expensive than Mario Party 3. So thinking the economy will be ruined is pretty baseless when the only board that might be a concern is Space Land since it's comparatively faithful and doesn't add new bank spaces or shops to accommodate the extra lucky spaces (then again the Treehouse Demo also didn’t really make it look like you got overloaded with coins either.)

Buying characters and new boards will be HYPE!!! I hope they didn’t reveal everything already. But even then, the game will be very enjoyable. Just hope there will be a variety of unlockables

I noticed on the sticker preorder bonus, some of the characters had their Mario party 7 poses. God that was my favorite game, I just really hope toad and toadette are playable again, like even in super Mario party they mentioned joining the party as well💀

I doubt you'll get to pick them since the Bonus stars being a random three categories was infinitely better handled than the original three categories (where there was massive overlap in the minigame and coin stars.) The only problematic ones are the ones that reward you for having one specific ally in Super Mario Party since there's no way to plan around that.

My niece always wanted me to play super Mario Party with her but I end up making excuses cuz the game became so boring! But this one, she'll definitely love and I'll definitely love playing it with her constantly!!! It's been years since I've been hyped for a Mario Party game. This is what Super Mario Party should have been! Love the trip down memory lane. The 1st MP was one of my favorites next to 5,7 and 8. The music, 8 BOARDS, mini game island and alot of items like the Different dice blocks that randomly appear during the game.

I almost cried when I saw the Mario Party 1 hub world. They didn't have to go this hard with this game but I'm here for it. And honestly? A hidden unlockable board seems plausible. Aren't those usually kept secret and out of trailers as well?

My mind was blown when Mushroom Village from the first Mario Party game is back. If there really is a secret board game to be unlocked, then it should be the final stages from the past Mario Party games, either Bowser’s Magma Mountain (even though Eternal Star was the true final board game), Bowser Land, or Waluigi’s Island. As for the unlockable characters? I don’t know. It’s anyone’s game.

Wouldn't mind DLC in the form of some sort of expansion pass to be made available some time later. Free updates like pokemon snap and mario golf would be much better though.

Honestly I am super excited for this game. When I saw the scan being revealed on E3 I was super Stoked. I am going to preorder this game as soon as I can.

Just gonna say in defense of Horror Land, the amount of lucky spaces are absolutely insane, but I think it'll be to Horror Land's benefit Horror Land is a board that thrives on having a lot of money due to having the 3 star steal for 150 coins, and the lucky spaces are gonna enable that to happen a lot more often making it a more chaotic (fun) mess That, plus they added 2 new item shops I believe and a bank which I think will just synergize well with both the lucky spaces and the Big Boo making coins something I think are gonna be gained and lost a lot on this board This is also gonna be the first time 3 items are able to be used, making the shops a much bigger player and I think choosing between buying items or saving up for big boo or even the smaller boo's is gonna offer some interesting choices we haven't really seen on this board before All that said, maybe it won't work that way and will be just way too much in terms of coins and lucky spaces but I'm optimistic and just from what I can see it really looks like it's gonna be a chaotically fun mess (imo) honestly so I'm excited to try it out at the very least

Definitely it's good to be optimistic, the board is a very money centric board and need a lot of coins to do a three star steal with Boo. Still hope the board has a few tricks up it's sleeve. Too many happening spaces near decorations which makes me wonder....

I hope there will be a secret Bowser Board. Or even an unlockable board AND a hidden final Board like in Mario Party 1. This was awesome! At least a Bowser Board should be part of the game, although I am undecided which one from the older games I would want. (But I am trying not to make myself too much hope for this)

I hope they have the original themes too. I love the music in the shop and the options house. I definitely hope the shop is for more than just stickers because who cares about that? It wouldn't be worth an entire building just for stickers. We'd need something worth saving our coins for.

Hmm.. I think Waluigis Island is, for the Final boards, pretty weak. Would prefer Magma Mountain, Final Star or Bowser Land, with Bowser Land the best (although I prefer the aesthetics of Magma Mountain). To balance, I would prefer they just add Chilly Waters but this is probably not gonna happen :/

@@gamingainz I don't think they would bring back the shop just to sell stickers. The original Mushroom Shop had various stuff like toys, items and even a board. And games like MP6 and MP7 had purchaseable characters, as well.

WOWWWWW so there might be a 6th unlockable board....awesome the news just keeps getting BETTER....hopefully we can have the option to reduce the amount of lucky spaces on the board

As much as I too wish there were hidden characters and boards I'm not sure it's the case with this game. Although I can see a free update coming as what they did with Mario Golf: Super Rush, added 2 new characters and in this game's case they should add at least 1 character, board and punch of minigames across the GameCube, Wii and Wii U Mario Party games!

I think they are hiding things I could be wrong but I feel there will be some kind of final board to unlock and maybe they just don't wanna say it Although I doubt it since 3 has the least amount of boards only 1 from it So if it a final like board waluigi islands the only final board but Creepy caverns or spiny deserts could make good final party board candidates I feel like a board from 3 is hiding And a few characters are hidden as well That are new and unlockable I love the 5 boards don't get me wrong but I feel like adding more updates with a returning board every once in awhile like Mario golf update would really be interesting to see 5 boards/characters that could fit as update but in order to get these characters and boards you'll have to spend coins by playing the game alot And depending on who the host in online If they didn't unlock it then oof gotta play more DK jungle adventure With playable Diddy Kong Spiny Desert With playable Dry Bones Chilly waters with playable Pauline I couldn't find a stage to match with her so I thought red Christmas feeling matches Western land with playable Nabbit Bowser Land with playable Bowser jr.

You didn't lose too much by not understanding what they said in the trailer, practically all stuff we already knew from previous trailers and the Japanese website. It's nice to have a hub instead of a menu and even more so since it's practically Mushroom Village! By the way, the boat most likely takes you to Mt. Minigames since you can see it in the background. Fingers crossed for at least an unlockable board (which would be Waluigi's Island in my opinion since we're missing one Mario Part 3 board), even better if there are also characters (Diddy Kong and Dry Bones make the most sense to me)! Having more options is always good so I hope that's actually the case, even though I don't mind rewarding some coins to second and third (not fourth like in Super) place.

They haven't revealed the character roster screen yet, why would they keep that a secret? they showed so much in the overview trailer but not that. We now have confirmation of an item shop which makes it even more possible. I don't want to get peoples hopes up but I do think we will get some surprises in this game.

@@tendohh I hope you're right, because I do want more characters! Thing is The Top 100, which had a similar concept of having 100 minigames from past Mario Party games, only had 8 characters! So I'm worried that Superstars might do the same! Yes, they added Birdo & Donkey Kong, but I really do think this could be it as far as characters! I really do hope you're right & I'm wrong, though!

Would make a great finale

So this is a massive stretch but since the boat in the hub is going to bring you to mt mini game (probably) I believe maybe the old mini game house will be a story mode or something because there’s a book there and maybe kamek is waiting for you to take him on the parties kind of like how the unlockable characters in super Mario party would wait by that bench. Again this is a massive stretch.

Big stretch but not a bad one at that. Could very well be, the actual minigame room with new features the only other guess i've got is music from previous mario party entries

Bruh I have the game and I'm level 99(Max level) and I bought everything in the shop I just need more stuff

I agree with the concern for the many lucky spaces, but I also think it’s too early to judge when we can actually wait to play the game and see how everything pans out. Even if there’s no option to change the lucky spaces, I don’t care honestly…. the game looks too promising for me to needlessly stress over something like that.

we got 'Pokey Pummel' and looks like 'Tug o War' will be a button mashing game now. Hope the game does get DLC though

we just need a classic rules option,...and i think this is implemented,.. the 10 coins for peach is an indicator,...maybe classic bonus stars are activated in this mode too, who knows :)

Yeah and considering most Mario parties have had an unlockable board, I think it’s very likely at this point

Now I'm just worried about lucky spaces and low item prices, I hope those can have toggles as well (so that you can choose what items to play with, change the price and choose how often they appear in shops and have the option to turn off lucky spaces, have a low amount of them or have a lot of them, that'd be amazing). Also, duels for stars should be an option as long as you pay 15 coins to start said duel and VS spaces shouldn't disappear.

I mean, Diddy Kong still has a chance though. Most likely he’ll be updated for Mario Golf Super Rush later, but he still has a chance for Mario Party Superstars soon

im just salty about lack of dk anniversary content this year but im probably still buying

if your able to alter boards or change major settings . competitive players would ruin mario party just like they did smash bros. i'll pass. and yes comp players do exist for mario party

@@Wolfgang630 but thats not even mario party . the whole game is revolves around those mechanincs taking it out makes it something else so i dont see them doing it even as an option. options are great in smash sure but in mario party thats like mario kart without items . idk just my opinion ofc. i dont see them doing it tbh
