I love how it sounds more and more existentially menacing as the track goes on. The imminent dread really complements the cartoon mushrooms and pigs beautifully. It's how Weezer was meant to be experienced; we were too blind for such avant-gardism in 2012.

Mario Paint Composer was made in the 2000s. It's an emulator of this feature on Mario Paint.

Mario Paint didn't have sharp notes (#), it was very annoying. The emulator also added some instruments: Piranha plant; Coin; Shy Guy; Boo.

Seems like this video is picking up steam a decade later. The KZread algorithm works in mysterious ways. Also, the piranha plants work perfectly for that riff. Truly great.

I am not ashamed to say this, this was my first midi editor. It was before I knew how to sing or play any music, but it gave me an understanding of how music in a video game was made. I find myself using this basic knowledge for a great deal of computing stuff today.

The view count kinda exploded in the last month. In 2021 it barely broke a 1,000 views. I looked at my notifications one day to see a new comment on this video, and saw it got like 1000 new views in the past week alone. A couple weeks later, it's at 15k views. It only took like 10 years but this video finally found its audience.
