As a virgin, I am naturally appealed to this song and Weezer.
As a 12 year old in 1995, it took me about a year and a half to realize that weezer was in fact NOT a band from the 50s that happened to be in a sitcom from the 70's and for some reason ended up on the win95 installation disk.
@ryanjohnson2620
Жыл бұрын
I think the reason it was bundled on win95 disc as an "extra" was to demonstrate an example of high quality video playback. I definitely remember playing this repeatedly and it just being neat to see a music video on my computer. Around those times seeing any video on a computer was usually from a CD ROM and low quality, and we certainly didn't stream or download videos from the web very much.

I was at Walmart two days ago and it started playing and I got VERY confused because this isn’t even remotely what I’m used to hearing there, but my Win95 CD nostalgia memories were very happy with that surprise.
Sitting in the 2010's, watching a video from the 1990's, set in a show from the 1970's, which takes place in the 1950's. never thought I'd travel back 60 years that fast P.s In case anyone cares, there were two reasons why I thought my comment was cool lol. I’m from 95, so these era’s are not my times, but I think it’s awesome that we got to travel back in intervals of 20 years, and get to see the peak of each decade’s culture. The 2010’s, KZread. The 1990’s, music videos. The 1970’s, television. And the 1950’s, Americana. Very trippy to me how it all linked together in a weird, youth culture way

For those who can’t quite put their fingers on what gives the song its unique sound, it’s written with the word 'girl'. It's a strange made-up word but it has its own vibe that Weezer pulls of masterfully.
